Cross-post: the November 8th transcript has arrived, and ooh boy, is it a real doozy? These are the highlights and they’re fucking gold.

Interesting. Why would Lemonboy want them included? Oh, and based off those snippets, I'm liking what I'm seeing from Martinez. Seems more assertive and less meandering than Ty.

I think you have a very biased reading of the show.
Comparing Froppy to Uraraka or Iida is unfair to the character, they're part of the main cast, it's like saying Bulma is unimportant compared to Vegeta or Piccolo.
Comparing Froppy to Momo makes more sense, but I think your memory is selective.
You said she never do anything on screen, but she was part of the action during the final event of the first season and during the first half of the third season.
Sure, we didn't see her going head to head with a villain, but we didn't see Momo doing so either.
You feel Momo is more important to the plot, but in which way? She did a device to track Nomu and then what? She went with the boys and... did nothing?
And the show is still going on, Froppy isn't part of the main plot... yet it seems to me that she is one of the few students that will face Overhaul in the next episodes.

Uraraka gets little characterization beyond “having a crush on Deku” and “STATING that her motivation is to help her parents financially”. Iida at least is a major player in the Stain arc, but after that what does he do except occasionally karate chop the air?

The only real “main” characters are Deku, Todoroki and Bakugo, all the other characters are cardboard cutouts whose power is at least 80% of their personality trait. Momo’s probably the girl with the most character development because her “oblivious rich girl” schtick is actually played up a few times and that one time she got some character development due to being adjacent to Todoroki, and also because she has big anime tiddies.

They were fucked from the beginning, A: Vic is a pedo and they are throwing him on the bus because they got tired of him and reveal they are just as bad as he is and due Exterminatus. or B: Vic is innocent and they are guilty of the crimes they accuse Vic of and STILL be due Exterminatus. This whole bullshit case is a lose-lose case for these fuckers and the only way they even can do shit is because of the masses have lost a shit load of braincells and got drunk on the Woke Kool-aid. At least there are still enough people to back Vic up to the point he got 260,000 raised for his legal fees.

If I found out one of my relatives fuck kids or had CP I'd beat the shit out of them, there is no excuse for shit like that and if it really was on the harddrive prior to Bradley acquiring it. I'd want to bust the fucker that give me a harddrive with such disgusting content on it, hand it over to the police and make sure that I have the EXACT date I got the harddrive and when the content was downloaded on to the computer so no one can say I wanted to watch it.




I still don't think that cunt HanLeia really ment Illich when she first made the accusations. To me she's backpedaling to fuck because she knows she's at the core of this mess and she could be in line to getting sued if Vic was vicious enough to do it. Personally, I think she should be sued.

Shinso got a pretty neat arc too, hope they show more of it.

Oh don’t get me wrong. I think a lot of the side characters who are explicitly side characters are actually pretty well done. Like, take the gadget chick. She’s one dimensional as fuck, but I think she’s a better character than any of the Class 1A background characters because she does her schtick well and doesn’t overstay her welcome. The author knows she’s not an important character, YOU know she’s not an important character, so when she’s on-screen you enjoy her for what she is. But Class 1A likes to LARP as “main cast” sometimes, in which case you can’t get away with being one-dimensional.

Schemmel & Sabat were the ones I heard the most when I was playing Dragon Ball games when I was younger and that's when I've heard Vic and I was subjugated but yeah if I ever watched Dub it was for Vic's voice.
I also fell in love with Qrow's voice so it was quite a shock for me when I heard that Schemmel and Sabat were such scumbags.

It's kind of weird how Matt and Liam turned into faggoty exceptional individuals when Liam is on record saying "nigger" and Matt is constantly talking about over sexualized women. Meanwhile the real Super Best Friends Pat and Woolie are just playing video games and having fun making money off their hobbies, and have tolerable girlfriends. Watching friendships break apart is tough to see

I stopped going on the Froppy thing because I thought it was getting too OT and weeby, but if we're still going I just want to say all the roles come down to 2 things: How big is the show and How popular is the character.
Chuck Huber's biggest role is probably Android 17, which is a relatively insignificant character in that show, but Dragonball is huge, so there's a following. Froppy is probably a bigger deal for Monica than Chihaya (of Chihayafuru) is for Luci Christian despite Chihaya being the main central character. But MHA is way more popular than Chihayafuru.

Basically, I'd say a character like Goku in DBZ is the ideal, that's something you can coast off of in near perpetuity.
Probably a tie between a core in an average series (like Soul Eater) and popular side character in a popular series (like MHA).
Anything below that (either unpopular character in a more popular series or any character in a really niche series) and you're just looking for the hardcore nerds. But the number of dub fans in that group are pretty small. Most of the hardcore fans of the niche series roll with the sub.

México has a Friezer that used the only voice he hadn't used before for Friezer when he's went gold... A male one.

A Cell that has a voice that sounds like chocolate tastes.

And a Gohan that insulted Nappa by telling him he didn't have a Mom.

Mexican voice actors are badass, in my opinion and the opinion of many fans from all of Latin America.

Actually, I was going to say Bakugou's friend with the hardening quirk, but then I realized I couldn't remember his name and was about to confuse him with Denki. And despite that, he still gets more screentime and more of a role than Froppy much of the time. Red Riot is definitely not a main character, but his achievements and development mostly happen on-screen instead of off-screen like Froppy. She is a curious role where the writer tries to make her feel important by having her do stuff off screen and tease at the idea of her being involved, but most of the time she just doesn't show up when things go down. Momo might not have done much on the rescue mission, but she was there. As was Red Riot. Not only wasn't Froppy, but we also didn't cut to her and see what she was doing, so the excuse she's given for not being there is only slightly more impactful than I Cannot Stop Twinkling's excuses.

Which brings me to something I said with that guy that was KV making the artwork of ty as a puppet and nick being a drunkard and all that(he is an example of it done right, even if the portrayal is bullshit). If they really wanna do these kinds of things, they need to stick with political cartoons, because just like the left in general, they are way too wordy. The expression "a picture is worth a 1000 words" exist for a reason.

Brevity is the soul of wit, but KV have no soul.

I am always surprised by how much more sexualized/fanservice the female characters are drawn in the manga compared to the anime, and yet the stuffy types always accuse the anime of making it worse instead.
