I honestly wonder what would happen if twitter and Tumblr just deleted for good what will they do then? How will they get the attention and brownie points they need for validation & survival there will be nowhere else to go you hardly see that shit on IG and DeviantArt you could barely get past all the weird fetish shit to see their art and they wouldn't dare go to Newgrounds, Pixiv is mostly Japanese people and there's no english setting, hentai foundry? They hate sexy women so that's out of the question, there's Furaffinity a lot of those people are furries but most of them aren't and finally ArtStation but that site is mostly for professionals looking for jobs and with their art skills I doubt they get hired

Tumblr's art community has this problem that its userbase likes to adopt any kind of viral art tips/hacks and abuse the shit out of them with little understanding of what they represent or what the purpose is. The infamous "tumblr nose" happened because of some art tutorials that went around saying that the nose is a little redder than the rest of the face, like babby's first introduction into facial color zones.

Well, tumblr artists started telling each other, "Hey guys, color your noses red, it's more realistic so it's better!" and adopting it into their art while totally ignoring that most of them weren't drawing a realistic style. It didn't help that this was at the peak of AC:NL's popularity which featured player characters with simple red shapes for noses. The same thing happened with joints, (your knees and elbows should be a little darker and a little redder than the rest of your skin, your fingertips redder, and darker if you're darker skinned, etc etc) and I think this was likely exacerbated by artists like Tearzah becoming popular again around this time.

Similar things happened like when Jojos became popular on Tumblr, with the introduction of the Jojo nose lines, where many tumblr artists (including Tearzah) adopted the //|\\ that Araki often places on his characters' noses, again despite the fact that they were not drawing in a chiseled, hatching-heavy style.

I've noticed some accidentally pulling a lot of boomer art style elements in by copying popular 'vintage' properties like Moomin and Popples, elements that were already ugly an unappealing back then, but look even more hideous and dated slapped on some shitty dunning-kreuger tumblr doodles with a heavy orange filter slathered across the whole thing. Aged like fucking milk.

I used to collaborate with an artist with a really adorable cartoony art style, but when the vintage trend hit tumblr she went all in, highly simplified, extremely stretchy characters, very symbolic drawings. Now it's 2019 and the only people who still like that are pants-shitting zoomer age regressors who like to pretend they were actually alive when any of it was popular and she complains that now she's lagging behind her peers in skill-- no shit, you spent the better half a decade drawing fat paraplegic trannies in a style reminiscent of a notepad you might have gotten for free from your PTA or local bank branch in the year 1970 just for a drop of clout, what did you think was going to happen?

TL;DR Tumblr artists cripple themselves by taking shortcuts and copying things they don't understand

Imo. As atrocious as this is it's pretty accurate to book Brienne. She's supposed to be sinfully ugly because her character is very much the opposite of her outward appearance but all people see, make note of, and mock are her looks. So yea, it's not the best art and she looks atrocious but she's kinda supposed to look Atrocious. Book Brienne is not Gwendoline Christie if you read any of the passages about her.
