There is no difference between being a book snob who says their reads make you smarter and rick and morty fans saying their show is for people with high iqs.

Good for her. Hopefully this will inspire other authors who find themselves in the crosshairs of the Twitter mob to tell them to go fuck themselves.
But it’s more than fine to destroy someone’s career before it begins because you were told their book might hurt three people’s feels. Siobhan Vivian should be saying “fuck that fucking bitch” to this moron. Her lack of self-awareness is kind of adorable.![]()

“Check this thread for the sheer number of authors who helped Sarah Dessen pile onto a young woman over an out of context, half-quoted article quote. Get context before you jump into ANY conversation, y'all--and in this case, these authors should have looked up the article first...twitter.com

That's what gets me--she did the exact same thing. She took this poor girl's story out of context, then she helped initiate a pile-on. Why is it okay when she does it but not when someone else does? But it’s more than fine to destroy someone’s career before it begins because you were told their book might hurt three people’s feels. I’m sure you already know this, but it’s because she’s a massive, talentless hypocrite. That's what gets me--she did the exact same thing. She took this poor girl's story out of context, then she helped initiate a pile-on. Why is it okay when she does it but not when someone else does?
Yeah, it was rhetorical.I’m sure you already know this, but it’s because she’s a massive, talentless hypocrite.
Because they need to be pure. They believe that just being near someone with the Wrong Opinions(TM) will convert them into Nazis somehow. And since they're so hungry to #cancel everyone who has ever lived, I wouldn't be surprised if you could get #cancelled for associating with someone years ago that was recently discovered to be guilty of wrongthink. Also, why do these people get so defensive? Why is it so hard to have friends who have opposing viewpoints? Or at least know people tangentically who don't 100% agree with you?
Apparently she wrote incest fanfics on her FF.net account years back
Depends on how many "years back" it was, I think. Reading what someone wrote as a teen isn't going to give you the best indication of their current work. Why bother waiting for a PDF of this chick's book when there's free fan fiction floating around to judge her writing?

I knew a guy who thinks this way. We are no longer friends because a friend of mine used the word 'nigga' and he 'can't be friends with someone who's friends with a racist'. I could never really figure out why, but you may have just explained it.Because they need to be pure. Classic ninehead. So much for her lesbian necromancer book being a hit with the in-crowd because she's into incest. And of course she has an AO3 account.
I'm glancing through her work there, and my eyes just gloss over from the get-go, nothing can grab my attention in the slightest. For one thing, it's in second-person (of this "Terezi Pyrope" character). Oh dear God, it's in second-person present-tense with these weird logs like those interactive Commodore 64 games or some shit breaking things up here and there. A lot of her works are written like this. I dunno how anyone could stand to sit and read through all of this to learn of what she's written in the past.
If this is how she's written Homestuck fan fiction, I can't imagine what her published work looks like. Hopefully she's smart enough to have avoided that, but her prose (what little I can tell) is rough.
Oh, her last fan fic posted is in 2013. She apparently had already been a published short story author by then, so much of it is indeed her writing style.
And she has such an unfortunate face.
