Fuck, that's beautiful yet disturbing. A pity i cannot recreate it in Rimworld nor Kenshi despite there would be plenty of room for amazing Bob shenanigans, like elevating a bunch of caveman into full blown cyborgs or sucking it up to the merchant association. Even if it really is trolling (Kennedy is such a typical Karen I have trouble believing she has the sense of humor to troll fans like this), it's not really a great idea to troll your core customer base unless you're Hideo Kojima or someone who can do it in an affection nudge-nudge wink way and also wow them with enough cool stuff that they don't hold it against you.

She also might literally mean that since TFA obliterated the expanded universe in a completely retarded way, they can't just use expanded universe material. Which is technically accurate. They would have to put some significant work into adapting it, and since they don't have good writers, it's not going to end up any less shitty than if they wrote something original.

As for kennedy, I kinda feel bad about her. Not for the internet name calling or angry Star Wars fans. Never gave much of a fuck about Star Wars, so I don't care for whatever side, but kathleen kennedy's story is kinda sad.

She started on a producer role on E.T, and worked with Spielberg for most of her career, which is impressive, but whatever creative input she had, in the end she never got much if any credit, she was just another suit, albeit sucesseful and powerfull in hollywood, she never had much spotlight.

So this new star wars was supposed to be her thing, her time to shine and make headlines and rise to be a true Hollywwod mogul. That is the reason on why she bought Rian Johnson's bullshit about making the Last Jedi something more than just a dumb blockbuster and it was going to elevate Star Wars into to true artistic cinematographic art by blowing everybody's mind... and that is when things went to shit.

And now not only Kennedy has to pretend she still is on the job, her fucking employers already got her replacement and made sure to make headlines about it. Sure, money helps, but being humiliated like this in a global scale must suck.

I see where you're coming from, but here's my counterpoint:

I remember talking to a relative about this shortly after TLJ got pinched out into theaters, and she was opining that it wasn't fair that Kennedy was getting so much blame, when Roundhead Ryan was the architect of everything that sucked about that movie. I agreed, but Kennedy is in charge of Lucasfilm; the buck stops with her, even if it's not fair, because ultimate control of the project rests with her.

She wished to be in charge and learned, like many, to be careful what she wished for.
