People on The Donald arguing against universal suffrage. Apparently letting non-landowners vote is "a death sentence for civilization."
“Why do people call us fascists?”
These nibbas are the only ones that wouldn't think I was trolling if I posted about repealing the 19th amendment. There are multiple constitutional amendments that make sure that if you are an American citizen, you are guaranteed a right to vote except for very specific circumstances (imprisoned felons, etc). Did you know the 24th amendment even guarantees your right to vote if you've failed to pay any taxes? I just learned that while making sure all my ducks are in a row for this post.
But those screenshots from r/t_d? Those made me do a thunk.

The 22nd amendment to the US constitution established presidential term limits. It's the reason why it's illegal for a president to serve more than two terms, or eight years, in office. It is currently illegal for Barack Obama to ever be the president again, and it will be illegal for Donald Trump to ever be the president again after January 20th, 2025, if he wins 2020.
But what do our pals at r/the_donald think of the 22nd amendment?

Just searching for "22nd amendment" shows a tidy little image of how t_d thinks. To the surprise of no one, it's great if it means keeping Trump in office perpetually, but horrible if Obama wants it. The best part is, you can see the place becoming more and more cultlike over time. The third screenshot I posted shows a couple of posts in favor of repealing the 22nd with zero and one karma respectively, despite getting a few comments, but the first screenshot has a post from 6 months ago with 112 karma. And it's not even a sort of "repeal the 22nd to 0wn the libz lol" kind of posts, there's an air of sincerity to it.
