The Awful Fursuit Thread - Viewer beware, you're in for a scare!

That room looks exactly what I assumed it would look like.

In other news, I thought our eyes could use some much needed cleansing. I actually like this head. Its proportional and looks like a 2D Disney character in real life. There's some talent there. Is it just when they add fur that these things turn into fuel for fire?

It's a mixed bag. Some of the horror starts with the base and not even a top-quality furring is going to save it. Other times, it's a really shit furring job. And still others, it's a really shit character design that cannot be salvaged in any way by making it a fursuit.

Look, I wouldn’t recommend posting your own work here.

Can we get a mod to edit the OP to discourage Furfags from thinking this is a humiliation fetish thread?

Plus, I found your Furfag Amino. It's not really worth doxxing, lucky you.

I have seen impressive fursuits like this one:

But unfortunately, for every nice one there's a butt-ugly version creeping behind:

The second one doesn't look too bad either in terms of build quality, it's just a completely different style apart from the more Realistic ones.

Toony ones from big time makers end up looking very cookie-cutter at times though. The good side about toony is that you can, like actual animation, exaggerate the proportions and expressions far more than realistic suits.

So if you actually step out of your comfort zone and make something really different, you can get some pretty interesting stuff.

Asian furries on twitter are a goldmine of WTF material. And this is just the tip of the iceberg. This fursuit is unbelievably disgusting. It looks like it's been drenched in cum, washed, and drenched in cum again.

Is there even such a thing as a good fursuit?
I think half of the problem of there being so few good suits often lies with makers. A new maker comes along, creates some really good looking suits, or has a unique style etc. They become famous and get tons of new orders, which also comes with the downsides of more work, less time to spend on each suit and so on. The maker gets lazy and starts to cut corners, which we have seen with the likes of every suit having the same face regardless of species or the maker refusing to use new techniques that would make their suits look/move better (but would add more time to making a suit). But due to them being famous, it gets overlooked for a long time as people still want a suit made by this specific person for the cred, regardless of if it looks bad/lazy/not quite like their peak.
The other half is just people of average (or no) skills trying to make a suit themselves and failing badly, but instead of learning or trying again, they just keep doing the same mistakes over and over.

FurryAndProud is only trending because of a Kickstarter for ugly ass LGBT t-shirts and some raffle
Man, I love artificial trends,
Question, what is this Kickstarter and why does it involve furries to create a forced hashtag?
