There is a critical flaw in your logic.

You assume that this will be enough of a blow to Dear Richard's sense of self respect that he will realize there is no way to recover, no turning it around, and do the only sensible thing which is to try to remove the stain he has put on his family's honor.

You are unfortunately applying the logic of a normal human, and forget that Lowtax is an addict with no sense of self respect. As long as he's got ambien and cheep box wine, there is no "too low to live".

I don't think anyone works on the software side of the forums anymore. For a while Lowtax pretended all the donations etc. go into improving the forums but apparently he has dropped all pretense of that. If you push him hard enough now he'd probably just whine how it's too expensive to literally do anything on them, because doing anything on them for him means doing a quick google search and throwing money at whoever shows up first. That is if he can't recruit some goon loser to do it for free. He can't be assed doing anything beyond that, especially not just learning that shit himself. The forums were moved off from running on own dedicated hardware to a cloud solution long after that was the new thing. I think before that happened the server had some SCSI drive croak. That was only a few years ago. I wish I was kidding. It also looked like he paid some insane premium price on hosting because he literally never could be arsed to shop around. That is, if he wasn't lying in one of his "woe is me" begging threads when he needed money from goons.

I'm kinda surprised nobody found some exploit in the forums software that could bring the entire place down. With all this please remember he's getting ~11k per month from goons + whatever the forums make him. (which still make a profit) He also lives in a part of the US where living is very cheap.

If Ashli makes a formal complaint of domestic violence, they're going to take Richard's guns away. Assuming he hasn't already sold them for pill money, of course.

ETA: I don't actually know Missouri law, so I'm not sure this is true. I'd like to know, for sure.

2nd ETA: No, they won't. I looked it up, they won't take his guns even with a misdemeanor DV conviction or a protective order against him.

I’m surprised that hasn’t been revealed yet. Rich’s important trip out of town was to bang the next paragon of mental stability he’s discovered. I wonder if she’s pregnant yet?

I’m still laughing at how petty he was to post that horrific photo of his wife for his “daughter missing” salvo. Photo of him, half obscured, with smiling daughter and then photo of Ashli that looks like it was taken from a magistrate hearing in county jail after she was arrested at the tail end of a month long meth binge.
