Social Justice Warriors - Now With Less Feminism Sperging

It also has a virginity problem and a neckbeard problem

So does capeshit, but SJW's don't attack that.

SJW's hate anime and rail against it because it's one of the aspects of "geek culture" they don't have a firm grip on. They outright control capeshit and a lot of soybeards and dangerhairs are rabid MCU stans and they have a disproportionate influence over video games precisely because both of those industries listen to a vocal minority and have been for quite a while.

Anime isn't woke because the Japanese market doesn't really give a shit about the opinions of spoiled white college kids on Twitter. Sadly, a lot of Western media companies are still convinced that the loudest voice in the room is somehow the majority.

Now that woke media is flopping badly and then you have Joker ending up as a huge success despite the SJW campaign to "cancel" the movie and stir up panic over incels and mass shootings, I think we're due for another cultural shift. My best guess is we're going to see a return to edgy media being really popular, sort of like in the 1990's and early 2000's.

Comics have always been used to push agendas, as far back as they were invented.
Reminded myself of having read this comic strip from over a century ago.

This is why they're so desperate to try to control markets like subs, which actually are domestic and subject to wokeshit. The Mignogna case is part of their purge of non-woke elements from the Western parts of the infrastructure to move anime from Japan to the United States.

The SJW attempt to take down Joker is pretty moronic too, because it's very easy for them to extract an anti-capitalist message from it and claim it as theirs.

Joker's descent into madness is triggered by a cascade of things that leftists rail against, funding cuts to mental health services, his employer being a dick, and one of his co-workers giving him a gun. A strong element of the SJW worldview is that the "Patriarchy" is headed by a class of sleazy frat bros who get away with everything (i.e. Brock Turner, Brett Kavanaugh(supposedly)). Now take a look at our suit-wearing, pasty, girl-pestering bullies who the Joker kills in self-defense. They're stand-ins for that class, and their murder is viewed as a revolutionary act. One interpretation of Joker's parentage is that Thomas Wayne sired him with Penny and had documents forged to memory-hole the incident, destroying her life in the process. Once again the evil patriarchs rewrite the past in their favor, so you can't trust history. Now I wonder what political shitshow involving a woman's decades-old recollections pitted against assiduous record-keeping happened a year before this film was released? The only thing that SJWs might not like about this film (assuming they see what they want to see) is that the rioters don't accomplish much besides a little mayhem, and ultimately abandon Joker to get hauled off to the loony bin. Even that could be saying "The system is too strong to defeat openly, you must take the long march through the institutions" .

Agreed. I think part of why the SJW's hated Joker so much is that it was "edgy" as opposed to the woke snarky Whedon-style capeshit of the MCU.

Joker is a dark drama that is capeshit in name only, and both Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix have confirmed so during interviews before the film was released.

But I also think that the reason why the panic got so big was due to astroturfing on Disney's part. Disney doesn't want any films that could derail the MCU gravy train. A lot of normies will casually watch an MCU film in theaters over the summer, but the core of the MCU's devoted fans are woke dangerhairs and bearded soylent bugmen, and I would not be surprised at all if Disney tried to weaponize the SJW hatred of "edgy" media to sink any potential competition in advance.

Of course, the SJW efforts to cancel Joker failed as badly as the Religious Right's efforts to cancel rock and rap music in the 80's and 90's.

What do you expect of morons but stupidity? The "alt-right" they hate will now get associated with a character a lot of disaffected people will tend to be attracted to in the first place. They could have used this themselves instead of just giving it to an enemy. Fuck, even Peter Coffin understood that much.

antifa losers and neo nazis should get a purge day dedicated to each other. lol
no, antifa would put up a lame fight while the majority of them would just trash the city they were in. The noe-nazis would just trash more ethinc negborhoods. Most of the damage would be to where they are not to each other. A battle royal set up would be better, we round them up and send them to an isolated island to have there fights there,

It was completely moronic all around. Totally mishandled, they basically ensured Joker's success. I hadn't been to the cinema to see a movie in more than a decade but I went to see Joker just to see what all the fuss was about. The smart play would have been to give it no coverage except a normal review that described it as derivative and boring and said things like "Just go watch taxi driver again instead."

The reason they felt they had to act against it wasn't the content of the movie though. It was the director bad mouthing their precious woke culture.

That and King of Comedy.

And actually, you should go watch both of those again too.

I'll regret asking this, but is there any sort of context for saying the anime community has a "fascist" problem?

Like, is it this moron taking "X DID NOTHING WRONG" too literally or is it a case of seeing "fascism" around every corner?

I'd wager it's probably the latter.

A lot of SJW's hate anime for the most part and automatically associate it with the Alt-Right due to stuff like 4chan's origin as an anime image board. The only anime shows that have any consistent popularity among SJW's that I can think of are My Hero Academia (presumably due to being influenced by capeshit) and nostalgic stuff like Pokemon and Sailor Moon.
