This pic's been going a bit viral and it perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with the Disney Wars films.

Its even worse when you consider all the stuff that was excluded from this picture that was revealed in the DisneyEU, like Han selling Luke's medal and Luke not telling his sister and her husband that he tried to kill their kid just so he wouldn't look bad, which resulted in their pointless divorce. To think, fools like CinemaWins consider the Disney Wars trilogy beautiful and that they make perfect sense.

So my parents were foolish enough to buy disney plus so I have finally got a chance to check out the Mandolorian and I got to say I'm pissed.

I'm pissed because what I have seen so far is basically what I was orginially hoping the disney movies would be and I feel robbed. Even worse I know there is only going to be so much time before the show goes to shit due to outside interference when the directors notice their baby yeed toys are the only thing selling. Also the cheeper CGI managed to feel way more authentic then anything I have seen from disney so far. Liked the few EU references and Knights of the old republic references in the show. Finally I liked that the Mandolorian took his cake and eat it too in episode 3, by first taking the reward money, THEN murderhoboing them; Was kind of concerned he would forsake cool armor upgrades for muh morals, which would have been lame.

Honestly, it shouldn't have been this hard, yet Disney found a way to keep fucking shit up on almost every turn. All they needed to was make something like the Mando from the start, but instead we had to get cowardly retreads that shit on their predecessors while throwing everything that came before them out the window, all because Iger desperately wanted to make back his 4 billion investment with interest as fast as possible. Also for all his faults, Filoni was smart enough to use pre-existing lore as a basis to create something original that's not a complete retread, and the sad part is this show IS eventually going to go to shit once they hamfist the sequel and First Order origin plot lines. Its also been confirmed that Constable Zuvio (that useless character who was cut from TFA and had his own fan club) is a recurring background character and its been implied his presence will tie-in to Rey's origins since some Disney comics hint that Zuvio helped to take care of Rey growing up and possibly even trained her flat ass to wield a staff.

And all so they can try and salvage their godawful sequels which we may sadly be stuck with forever because they might be the last performances of the OT cast and no one would dare retcon on their shit based on those grounds.
My only other grievance is that the planet the show is set on is basically Tatooine in all but name, which sadly takes away from what made planets unique now that Disney has so many donut steal versions of old planets and aliens.

And yes the /tv/ memes and anti-shill campaigns are appreciated. My only grievance is that Yoda's Foda & Soda isn't as good of a punchline as Chuck's Fuck & Suck.

You're entirely correct. You had dumb products (I distinctly remember those Jar Jar candy things), but, again, they were marketted towards kids. People actually dumb enough to badger their caretakers into spending money on useless horseshit based on nothing but brand recognition, and even then the actual sales and profit hinged alot on those products being cheap to make and sell. Expecting adults to pay extra on a fairly complex utility tool that they either already have or won't want, that is already quite expensive, based on nothing but a novelty factor is not a particularly wise business move.

I feel Disney is huffing their own farts too much and thinking their paid Twitter 'influencers' who plaster their fucking homes with popculture paraphernalia are representative of the average consumer.

This might be bullshit, unless the summaries for upcoming episodes are purposely deceitful since they all mention the Mando as still being the main guy, unless he actually does die in episode 4 instead of 5 only to get replaced by Gina, which seems unlikely (for now anyway).

Here's the plot/summary as follows.

Episode 4: Mando teams up with Gina's character to save the village (anon is right about the village part at least, but this only goes down in episode 4, not 5).

Episode 5: The Mando is partnered up with a dumbass rookie bounty hunter who is as retarded as pre-Disney Greedo and its up to the Mando to teach him the ropes.

Episode 6: The Mando teams up with some Klatooinian raiders who get their hands on an old AT-ST. Gina's character is apparently in the episode and it supposedly takes place on a forest planet.

If they actually did do that though, they'd probably save it for season 2, once they're sure that they have enough people hooked to spring their trap.
