This lawsuit was funded because an individual persuasively argued to a portion of the public that he had been wronged and deserved a chance to try and prove that in court.
The legal system in the U.S. is like the medical system. It's the best system money can buy. No mun? No fun.The degree to which they are going after the crowdfunded money is pretty vindictive and weird. That this is crowdfunded is what makes it so damn clear this is not a case within the spirit of the TCPA, even if it runs afoul of the letter. This is not a corporation with limitless funds or a billionaire with an ax to grind. This lawsuit was funded because an individual persuasively argued to a portion of the public that he had been wronged and deserved a chance to try and prove that in court. If we're going to have a justice system where you have to pay big money to get lawyers, officially discouraging people from doing what Vic did basically amounts to officially declaring a two tier justice system.
Only difference is that Americans can't go to Cuba to get cheap and effective lawsuits. The legal system in the U.S. is like the medical system. It's the best system money can buy. No mun? No fun.
This is a far away hippotetical, but if they lose the lawsuit or even just goes pass TCPA, could they go after Lemon by arguing that his actions were the cause of them losing the lawsuit or at least go after him for padding the bill unnecessarily?
Malpractice does not just entail wronfully losing a case, it also includes defrauding your clients or coercing them into doing something that will harm them in any way, or just being unethical. Nick has said almost full tilt that Moronica should consult a malpractice atourney on the matter. Both, although it would be really hard to argue malpractice for a case the lawyer won that was overturned on appeal, which actually suggests a better job than was done, i.e. he managed to win a case he should have lost.
something out of the more law savy people, hippotetically if Ron and Monica thought Lemoie hurt them with his legal representation could they go after him for reparations?
Stahp it.This is a far away hippotetical

If the cost of entry to the legal system in America makes it unattainable to the common person, it'll just continue to increase the likelihood that they turn to the firm of Smith & Wesson instead. The legal system in the U.S. is like the medical system. We're not dealing with smart people here. I hope the idea gets planted in Ron's soy-filled head that he can easily get his money back through a malpractice suit against Jdolf so we can have yet another round of this shit. Personally I'd be rooting for Jdolf since all he's done is be a stereotypical asshole lawyer. Imagine if TCPA was overturned on MoRon, they lost their appeal against Vic, they lost the trial against Vic, they lost the subsequent appeals against Vic, and then they lost the malpractice case against Lemonfuhrer. Both, although it would be really hard to argue malpractice for a case the lawyer won that was overturned on appeal, which actually suggests a better job than was done, i.e. he managed to win a case he should have lost.
TCPA would be the breaking point, I think. We're not dealing with smart people here. What's actually better is if more things come out of that malpractice suit if it happens, like say DM's/Group chats from lawtwitter assuring them that Vic would have to pay. That is if it happens of course but will be hilarious if it does. We're not dealing with smart people here. It's a testament to how fucked up this whole situation is that what should be the driest of events, the assignment of fees, still gives us plenty to laugh about. What's actually better is if more things come out of that malpractice suit if it happens, like say DM's/Group chats from lawtwitter assuring them that Vic would have to pay. Best-case scenario would be if Ron kills anyone and it makes the news, and then he gets the death sentence. Then 15-20 years later we get Weeb Wars Anniversary Edition as Ronald Joseph Toye III is executed by lethal injection.I'm holding out for a MoRon murder-suicide ending.![]()
That's why Nick never should've suggested a malpractice lawyer, now they'll ignore him on that.We all know they hate Nick, and this forum too much to take any sensible advice. They won’t consult a malpractice lawyer, or even other council.
She'd have to escape Ron's wrath first. Odds are Ron owns the house she lives in and while she might be smart enough to have separate finances from her fiance, Ron will probably try and shift the financial burden of the lawsuit on her.i want to see what monica does if vic wins any counts against her on appeal. will she turn on ron first, or lemoine? the smartest move would be to get her own lawyer, settle with vic, blame ron, then sue lemoine for malpractice. too logical for her tho.
what if that was the plan all along? That's why Nick never should've suggested a malpractice lawyer, now they'll ignore him on that.
