Japan is such a strange place when it comes to sex laws I mean they have very clear places dedicated to Hentai shops and other stuff that would be hidden in other countries but they still have their mandatory censor stuff laws for porn.

"Like hey all this sex stuff is public but you better not show a non blocky vag in private you sick freaks."

Essentially it's because social attitudes to porn and prostitution changed to make them acceptable but politicians didn't want to be that guy who officially signed a law legalising porn and prostitution so the old obscenity laws stayed despite being near totally unenforced. A similar phenomenon exists with old struck down state sodomy laws in the USA, which no one has bothered to repeal because conservative legislators don't want to give the impression of supporting licentious behaviour.

Someone actually reported Anita Sarkeesian to the FBI for not delivering on her Kickstarter on time. That's the kind of level we're at - an obviously fake bomb threat sent to Feminist Frequency, and a bunch of autists that are mad about someone saying mean words to them on Twitter.

Ultimately the FBI's conclusion was that there were no leads to investigate and no arrests that could be made.

Hey did you get a chance to read that stuff? What do you make of all the documents regarding Grand Jury subpoenas? Any idea what that is all about? Does that mean a Grand Jury hearing actually took place?

I read these late last night but I think that on one of the other pages there was reference to the subpoenas being delivered to businesses. I just skimmed through quickly now and didn't see that again so maybe my insomnia rattled mind was just confused. That stuff was sorted within the San Francisco FBI letterhead, so I was thinking that the subpoenas were maybe for Social Media shit.
