Damn straight. Art school is wonderful and I love everything I've learned. It was strange first getting into it because I had to do a few abstract and contemporary stuff first, before the credentials were built to move onto illustration and character design. It was like culture shock - But the lessons still cross over. Always research, reference, explain your choices, cite inspirations and show the steps by steps.
Tedditoys started off as completely normal, run of the mill animal plushies you'd find in any shop. Then a bunch of furs jumped on them and now they're doing furry coms out the ass. There's a lot of really bizarre designs - Some they pull off nice, some just don't work too good in the beady eyes realistic look.
Yeah I really didn't want to listen to Roarey's babbling but him complaining about being interrupted only to do the same makes it obvious he just wants to prove he is "right" despite his logic having as many holes as Swiss cheese. And also he has a ton of skeletons in his closet with the aforementioned cub porn being one of the most damning examples as well as him being a self hating furry. Oh man, Gothicskunk. Haven't heard that name in ages. I remember seeing him during gamergate with some inane bullshit how Brianna Wu insults the goths by calling herself goth (did she even?) and how he's a real goth because... he has art of his fursona character in goth outfit?
I'm certain he just pissed off a really large crowd and got mass reported, he went viral several times as people mocked his tweets and furry shit.
I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case. The furry fandom from what I know tends to be the group that accepts anyone which is of course a double edged sword that can lead to idiots getting in and tarnishing it. In the case of Gothicskunk and other conservative furries is they may have little niches carved for themselves in the fandom but outside of said niches they will either be ignored or mocked by those aware of them. What are the best ways of responding to such accusations, by the way?
As much as most current callout culture activity has become an embarrassment of teenagers accusing other teenagers of being pedophiles because they're sometimes attracted to adults and write/draw questionable material of themselves or an underage character paired with an adult character, it used to be a pretty effective means of shutting up people who tried to spin pedophile or zoophile arguments onto people criticizing them. Compiling a post of all the cub porn they've drawn and sending it to their relatives on facebook was a pretty good way of shutting people up back in the day, though I'm sure it's considered under harassment law now. People tended to clam up when nana starts asking why strangers on the internet are sending her compilations of underage bunny characters from "that anime stuff you like" signed with a username that's the same as the email address she sends Christmas cards to.
It also becomes hilarious when you see these people screech at each other for not following the right group think and such. Just imagine a 49 year old furry that watches MLP screech at some 24 year old communist furry, complete with whatever shitflinging they do.
