In other words, a jungle is simply not a conducive environment to civilization building.
I don't know, it makes sense to me.

He was essentially making the argument that wealth should be redistributed from the rich to the poor but the middle class shouldn’t have to do anything because they own less shit than the 1% does. What was the argument about?
Jared Diamond

He was also arguing that just because socialists own iPhones and therefore continue to support/enable the industries that they decry for being oppressive doesn’t mean that they like/enjoy said industries or that they don’t care about the poor and working class for utilizing luxuries created from capitalism.
"I actively support a company I think is violating human rights" all socialist are exceptional individuals no exceptions
They still have a choice in what phone they buy, they can still choose who you buy from. They still overwhelmingly choose shit they know is made uneathicaly and then turn around and bitch about itIn a capitalist society where you pretty much have to have some form of technology to get around and live - technology largely made by slave labor and exploitation of nature - how can you not contribute to these oppressive industries? It's pretty much an impossibility at this point.
You’re saying this about people with twitter accounts lmaoyou pretty much have to have some form of technology to get around and live
That's just people, though. Back in the early 90s, Zenith was the only US made television you could buy. And amid a period where you'd see Buy American bumper stickers everywhere and hear endlessly about lost jobs and Jap crap, I'm pretty sure I'm the only person in my social circle that ever bought one. They still have a choice in what phone they buy, they can still choose who you buy from. Except there are people who at least ATTEMPT to minimize their damage done to the environment and to human rights by riding their bike to work and only buying clothes from farmers markets or something. Even not having a mobile phone and just utilizing a old home phone goes a long way if you claim that you’re this super progressive socialist guy who wants to tear down capitalism. That's just people, though. 99% percent of people don't care enough about lost industries or chink slaves to do anything more than buy a bumper sticker or tweet commie nonsense. It doesn't make them hypocrites or shitheads. They're just morally lazy, like almost all of us.
This bitch is jealous they are banned from the public library for smearing the children's section with their "period blood" aka Ketchup.

This, academics love to insult each other.Edit: I Just wanted to add that: is what academics always say when one of their peers (or their peers work) becomes prevalent in popular culture.
You see, without capitalism there would be no industrial revolution, so we would have lived in The Shire forever."captialism has failed us" meanwhile: largest capitalist states are the only ones that are successfully lowering there carbon foot print, and almost all socialists ones have failed to do any thing to stop it

I saw a page from this book. Its about how children can like whatever toys and clothes they want to. This is a lot like when people freaked out about the definition of woman being put on a billboard. It is a trap designed to make troons look uninged. they fall for it every time.
It's beautiful that Bors' most popular comic is just a lazy ripoff.got into an argument with an 18 year old pansexual white kid on twitter and he posted this
