Trump Derangement Syndrome - Orange man bad. Read the OP! (ᴛʜɪs ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴅ ɪs ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴋɪᴡɪ ғᴀʀᴍs ʀᴇᴠɪᴇᴡs ɴᴏᴡ) 🗿🗿🗿🗿

I think Biden's strength being mostly due to his association with Obama is somewhat overblown. Black folks generally vote Democrat due to habit, not ideology. Black Dems are not nearly as far to the left as white Dems. Transgenderism, homosexuality and carbon taxes on gasoline will not win support from black people.

His strength is mainly due to everyone else being too high on the extremism and too low on the electability. The conventional wisdom is that the only people supporting Biden are low information voters. I don't think they're considering that Biden's steady support is because people are paying attention. They see everyone else and are just so turned off by the rest of the field.

When you combine the fact that Biden is generally dominating in the national polls yet lagging just as badly in enthusiasm and fundraising, that screams to me that his support is as a compromise candidate, not wingman to Obama. They don't care that Biden has early onset dementia. They just need someone to sit in the chair so that the Dems can run the presidency by committee. They don't actually want him to do anything. "Here Joe, nominate this person to SCOTUS." "Look Joe, we're gonna pass this bill, sign it into law." I think that's all they want from Joe Bitin'.

This phenomenon has happened before in the Catholic Church too. Pope Saint John XXIII was basically elected to be a caretaker Pope. A non offensive, safe choice who would probably be dead in few years to preserve the status quo until they can figure out what to do next. Which he promptly blew up by calling Vatican II. Oops.
So what you're saying is that Crazy Joe is going to massively fuck up the Democratic party even more than it already is?

So I'm gonna go with Occam's Razor: Pelosi was forced to act in order to placate the extremist wing of her party.

My bet, she said, after constant needling from Schiff/Nadler/The Squad and probably a few others: "Okay, fine, we'll have a hearing, but...." and before she even had the word "hearing" fully out of her mouth, everyone else in the room was gone, replaced by a hovering dust cloud, as the rest ran gleefully down the halls screaming "WE GOT HIM! WE GOT HIM! HE'S IMPEACHED! CALL A PRESSER! CLEAR THE CHAMBERS! WE START SUBPOENAING WITNESSES NOW! "

And that's why we are where we are......

I still say that when it comes to Biden, in the Immortal Words of Hulk Hogan: Its a work, brother!

The fix is in... but not for Biden, but his running mate!

He'll win the nomination at the convention, then two weeks into the General, step down to spend time with his family, citing the documented health issues.

Then said running mate thanks Joe in a speech right after saying they'll bring the same dignity Joe would.

As for the running mate...?

I don't know, but I can tell you this much, whomever it is, it'll be her turn!

Yeah and then she'll hack up another Pepe tadpole into her glass of water and a bunch of youtube and twitter accounts get nuked for spreading nazi propaganda of HER bad health

You're not wrong.

Front page Washington Post: Ukrainian Corruption Probe may anger Trump.

I only glanced at the article while loading, but of the 500 Prosecutors getting the boot from Zelensky one is a contact for Guiliani.

Maybe I'm not some big brained journalist, but I fail to see why either would care.

Trying to find the correct thread for this. But have you seen all the "outrage" about Trump lampooning those texts between that lawyer and that FBI officer? It wasn't that funny at first but now the backlash has made it hilarious. Call a man a racist, a pedophile, Hitler-with no proof- it's all good. Make fun of some actually extant texts between a pair of idiots clumsily discussing sedition- now the line has been crossed.

Why did the media latch on to the Corn Pop story from that same event and stay silent about this part? It's been two and a half months since the speech. I only saw it for the first time on Twitter about three days ago.

Here's the full video from that day:

Wasn't Reagan getting the first symptoms of Alzheimer's during his second term? He didn't get an official diagnosis until he was long out of office, but it was budding then, wasn't it? No one caught it then, but would the media have brought it up or questioned his health to the same degree as how they're denying there's anything wrong with Biden and Hillary's health?

Reagan may have begun developing Alzheimer's by the end of his 2nd term, however, his condition by the very end of his presidency was impeccable in comparison to Biden's current state (at least phenotypically). Seriously, compare the Biden speech with Reagan's farewell address:

The difference is that Reagan was showing the beginning stages of Alzheimers when he entered his second term. This is bad, and you can definitely track the degradation, but he was still MOSTLY of his own mind when he left.

Biden is... in the middling stages. He went so long out of the limelight that we cannot track when he showed the beginning stages, but we can safely say he is showing something more than them right now.

Not if that's how he presented at the end of that term.

Not if that's how he presented at the end of that term.
He was reading off a prepared script he had in front of him. This would prevent the worst tangents that Alzheimers can inflict on ones train of thoughts.

if you can get access to it, https://www.j-alz.com/content/track...eimers-disease-diagnosis-case-study-comparing This study is FASCINATING.

In short,m the earliest signs of Alzheimers are incredibly deceptive. Changes in modes of speech, slight dips in the train of thought, that slowly compound over time. What makes Alzheimers particularly interesting is that it has no consistent time of progression. So while he showed signs of it at the start of his second term, his was a slow degradation that had not severely impacted him by the end.

I'm a hospice volunteer. I've seen what Alzheimer's looks like. If Reagan had begun his progression at the beginning of his second term, as you claim, I find it ridiculously unlikely that he could deliver even a prepared speech that well by its end.
His was a slow degradation. As a hospice volunteer, you are likely interacting with those at the later stages or with aggressive cases. Alzheimer is cruel in that when you start showing your signs you have no idea how long it will take.

Some people get diagnosed, and three years later they are screaming lunatics.

Others get diagnosed and keep a decade of mostly secure life before the disease degrades them to the point of screaming lunacy.

The end point is the same and all who have it will experience degradation over time, but the time it takes to get to that end point is different for each patient.

In Ronald Reagans case, he was 'lucky' in that his case was one of the slow ones. From diagnosis in 1994, he retained functionality up to about 2000, before degenerating past that to the point of what would require someone like you to aid them.
