Pelosi wanting to move on with impeachment is a decent sign they've got nothing more they can do on Trump. If they had anything really damaging they'd want to drag this out for as long as possible for more soundbites their counterparts in the media could play.

Only strange part is Pelosi arguing going through the courts is "obstruction of justice". Felt like a meme they were trying to push hard since it was the whole crux of the Mueller report (like they said in their congressional subpoenas it's "obstruction" if someone didn't appear even if it was to challenge in court), but it's weird hearing her actually say out loud that it's obstruction to go to court.

When the protests stop being an excuse for a bunch of pissed-off people to vent by breaking stuff for whatever reason they're claiming it's about this week and actually evolve into a unified movement with a clear and defined set of grievances that they're willing to take hard action to address. So probably never.

The problem with the French protests is that they're too much like the American protests we've seen over the last decade or so... while there are legitimate grievances that could be addressed, these protests aren't actually addressing any of them, they're just an excuse to hang out with your hipster friends and smash store windows.

Max JackBoot got in bed with them a while ago. He jumped on the Trump hate train right after Trump said the Iraq War was a mistake during the primaries and got a nice, cushy job at WaPo engaging in his own Arab-blood-thirsting brand of TDS. I have yet to see single leftist mention this. A lot of them probably have no clue who he is, but some of them are also ignoring it because he's an ally of convenience.

I have zero respect for any lefty who is remotely aware of Max Boot and doesn't call him out and refuse to associate with his bullshit. Boot is far closer to the worst tendencies of legit historical fascists than Trump will ever be. His name is even fucking Boot, for crying out loud. It's perfect.

In this little screed he decried the Bush administration for it's "bloodless, push button" war.
He then went on to say that the war should be won with "American blood and guts instead of Afghan blood and guts".
In other words he wanted the Battle of the Bulge not the Battle of Tora Bora.
