Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

So, what are the thoughts on the Rise of The Resistance ride?
I gave my thoughts 2 or 3 pages ago. Everything I know in regards to reception comes from mainstream Disney-focused sites and r/starwars, and to no one's surprise, they love it.

Aside from that, LA Times is skeptical about whether or not the Kylo Ren ride is enough to save Galaxy's Edge.

And South Park took another potshot at Disney (although it wasn't Galaxy's Edge focused).

But more importantly...
The Kylo Ren ride broke down 18 minutes after its opening.

Disney has given re-entry passes to those whose soy joy was cut short so they can try again another day when the ride isn't so busted. There's kind of a mixed bag of reception about this from people on Twitter.

But did the animatronics try to eat the tourists?

So much for another day, because that looks like same-day expiration on the re-entry voucher

Wouldn't be surprised if they did. But in all seriousness, the main dangers and glitches are probably coming from the areas that have been giving Disney the most problems since the ride went into development, that being the trackless trolleys and the escape pod section. As I've pointed out before, there's issues with trying to keep the trolleys on track without them accidentally loading into the elevators incorrectly. Their hookup to the escape pod also presents a danger to tourists if they don't hook in just right. Either that or maybe one of the animatronics or turrets bugged out or overheated.

Regarding the Game of Thrones cookbook, it's not bad at all. Something the show doesn't delve in much is that the books mention a lot of food, so the makers of the book just ran with that, taking every mention of food in the books, instead of pulling recipes out of their asses or assigning common modern day food for random characters, like something dumb like "Jon Snow pancakes".

For every "exotic" dish there are a few easy to make (scrambled eggs with peppers and cheese; breakfast with bacon, hard cheese, a boiled egg; hummus, etc). I've made a few of the recipes and they're pretty good.

Also the pictures make the food seem delicious and well, actually resemble food:

Only 2 more weeks to see this clusterfuck hit the screen, oh boi. Since the Paxis's leaks have been consistent so far, do you think that the Interwebs's dumpsterfire of TLJ will be repeated or amplified?

I don't know. I'm starting to doubt it will be received as a dumpsterfire by the general public. Not to say they may not like it, but that the movie will at best just be a series of dumb flashy action set pieces. If the movie just does that, I don't think people will consider it worse than TLJ. The fans though won't gaf.

There's no way in hell I would go to Disney World just to ride that (or just to do anything in GE for that matter) but if I was already there, that ride looks fun enough for what it is and depending on how fucked the line is, I could see myself riding it and having a good time.

If only Disney had shown as much dedication when cooking up these shit recipes.

Maybe we should start doing a countdown.

I used to think that. The thing is: the events described on the leaks are so dumb and nonsensical that I still have some hope. The backslash could probably be just Rogue One/Solo levels of "meh", but who knows?

The premiere on L.A is on 16th. Very likely that we could have the full plot leaked by that date.

I own the elder scrolls cookbook, what really surprised me was the sections dedicated to seasonings and ales and not just some fanciful mixed drink garbage its the real shit.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS. Not the disaster-level carnage I've been secretly hoping for, but it's a good sign.

Looks like they already made a video about it an hour ago.
Imagine having to wait through that long waiting period again. It also seems that only the first group on the ride actually got to see all 100% of it. For everyone else the ride crashed midway in and they never even got to see the end. I think the Falcon ride crashed too but it wasn't until the end of the day or the day after I think.

Just so you know this ride is like 15 minutes long (counting waiting times which take place at the start and midway into the ride). So it seems only the first two or 4 groups got to ride this crap in full.

Thats why you never go to a theme park to ride a new ride until after they iron all the bugs out. This was almost guaranteed to happen.

That's because you've probably been keeping up with Star Wars news for awhile. Compare that to your general moviegoer who may not have liked TLJ but isn't aware of all the backstage incompetence or agenda. If they were aware of it, then the movie should be a complete dumpster fire.

Should I wait to see the movie (I don’t want to contribute to opening week ticket sales) or should I just go in as soon as it’s out to experience shit? Also should I watch The Last Jedi or is that just filler now?

Sail the high seas for it if you really have to.

When you reward shit with money, even if it's just "to see how bad it is," the only message you send is: "shit=$".
