Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Sure, why not. Let's see if average people can consistently do better with their recipe versions. Even their worst attempts can't be much worse than Disney's cheap overpriced slop.
Here is an attempt by someone called Dennis at recreating Yoda's rootleaf stew as per the cookbook's directions.
1575740984588.png

He did not post a picture of the recipe or how it appears in the book... But he does state the ingredients: Ginger root, cumin, turmeric and cinnamon, with vegetable broth. You're also supposed to put in a mash of colored greens to give it a green hue, but he didn't have any. The measurements appear to be correct.

Here is a pic and recipe that's not from the cookbook but from the official Star Wars website in 2017. I assume the one in the cookbook is the same as this:

Here's is an attempt at creating rootleaf stew from scratch by Chelsea M-C back in 2017.

Well.... I'm tired of being so negative all the time, and it is the Christmas. So I figured(haha) I should give a little review on 2 recent star wars purchases that you or someone in your life who also loves star wars can get for Life Day.

These are the S.H Figuarts Darth Vader(Return Of The Jedi) and Boba Fett(Return Of The Jedi). S.H. Figuarts are a 1/12 (6-7in~) Japanese figure line that usually go for around $60-$70. If there is one thing we can thank The Rat for, It's keeping Star Wars relevant enough that we can keep getting new figures of old characters like this, because these guy are really damn Good figures.

I guess I will start with the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter first, because this is Figuart's first attempt at making a figure of the character. Well... Technically speaking, they did however, create a Jango Fett in the past. A TL;DR on that review is that it was a bad figure. That can't be said for his son though. Really I dont have anything bad to say about him at all. The biggest thing to talk about is his overall look. They went for a more stylized look for him, meaning that he has a very clean look to him overall. It still looks great but there is one problem area.
boba 2.jpg
the Jetpack is like REALLY clean, so it can look weird to people. This look however does make him stand out from every single other 6in figure on the market because they all go for the weathered look. Personally I like it, but its something to think about. Some articulation notes would be due to the leg mold his legs are a bit restricted. He has a bad ab crunch, but can bend back a far bit. Those are the only problem areas.

vader1.jpg
Next up is Lord Vader. This is Figuart's fourth rendition of Darth Vader( past ones being episodes 4,5, and 3) and all there is to say is that he is damn near perfect. The only stylistic note to talk about is that they polished the fuck out of him with woodoo hide, because he is the glossiest of all the Vaders. So much so that it can be hard to take pictures of him. The only major thing about articulation is that his skirt really does get in the way of moving his legs. He isnt known to be limber, but it can be annoying if you are trying to get him on 1 knee. His cape is wired, so you can lightly pose it.

Lastly, Here is a picture of everything you get in their box.

If you have specific questions, feel free to ask.

Now, before leaving Lucas wrote up what he had planned and presented it. Igor said they would take it on advisement, never rejecting or accepting it outright. To then ensure his will, Lucas made the person at the head of it be someone he trusted. Kathleen Kennedy. A woman who he had worked with for quite some time, who had a pedigree, and who was on good terms with Lucas. Someone who he believed would advocate for his ideas.

Now, here is where it comes together. Lucas has, at this time, given the franchise to someone he was given reason to rust, ensured there was someone high up to advocate for the films, and provided what he could to put the new trilogy on the right path. He has, at this point, done literally everything he could.

So, what went wrong? Well, its the same reason I need to preemptively defend Bob Igor. Kathleen Kennedy happened. Lucas had installed someone he thought eh could trust, and Igor saw someone who would make fairly 'standard' Star Wars movies to ensure they made bank on a costly purchase. Instead, Kennedy revealed her stripes as an ideologue and UTTER lunatic. She immediately made it clear she was not going to defend a single thing Lucas wanted, which Suited Igor who didn't want to take any of the Risks Lucas did, but then made every decisions possible that could piss of the fans,m which fucked over Igor.

Put simply, the fault lies not with Lucas, but with the woman who backstabbed everybody.

There's a regular on Itchy Bacca's blog called otnesse who would frequently argue that Lucas ought to have known that Kennedy was a far-left feminist harpy, therefore putting the blame on him for putting her in charge, as if he should've known what she would do with it. I think somebody else suggested that Spielberg may have urged George to give her the reigns, possibly because they were an item once upon a time. I dunno. It could be just as likely that Kennedy's holding some #MeToo allegation over their heads. Either way it doesn't reflect well on her. otnesse would also hold it against George that he wanted to glorify the Viet Cong with his Star Wars movies, particular in the first Star Wars with the Rebels and in RotJ with the Ewoks. I think there's more to it than that, though, and I hardly blame George for being against the Vietnam War at the time.

One interesting thing he does bring up is that George supposedly pushed for a law in the Obama presidency that forced rich millionaires/billionaires to pay a higher tax for assets they owned. Then, either before the law was passed or it came time to pay up, he sold Lucasfilm so he wouldn't have to pay the tax he pushed for in the first place.

Hell, to say Disney's only problem is just "wokeness/feminism" is a huge understatement to all the many things they got and did wrong and how royally they fucked up in almost every field that it makes George's awful prequel decisions look tame by comparison.

I agree in the sense that wokeness/feminism is often a shield to cover poor decisions, rather than being the root cause of everything wrong with the DT. However, there are definitely many people in power who are, if not political activists, political opportunists who see a chance to inject their ideology into a product or platform, and they do not hesitate to take it. Kennedy is a perfect example of this behavior.

However it seems no one is interested in recreating these horrors from chef MovieBob's kitchen of Terror.

1 small note after playing a bit more. there was a locked joint in my bobas next that made it look like he had a very short neck. I have fixed it and it turns out he has a normal good looking head.

The only way they could be is if Rian Johnson blew his brains out mid-film.

I still cant believe they are making a Jacob's Ladder remake, of course with black leads. Aw yes, another remake made by talentless hacks who have no idea what made the original great. From a horror/sad tale about a man learning to let go and accept moving on into the next world peacefully, to a dindo nuffin generic horror shite.

Id doubt we see a Darth Talon with Disney in charge. They promised to never make Slave Leia stuff again.

You know Im sick and tired of people being afraid of making pretty female characters nowdays. Darth Talon was awesome and she was a major babe while at it. Besides, lets face it, Slave Leia kicked off so many puberties, its not even funny. We gotta add some healthy amount of sexy in media, especially for older kids, it helps in their developtment so they dont become stunted later on. Its the same debate on if cartoons should have scary shit (like courage the cowardly dog did and etc), yes, we need it, kids need that sort of estimulation.
Personally, I see sexy as empowering for women, as if to say, "you can be sexy and in charge!", but no, aparently is "degrating", yeah...its no coincidence lazy ugly land whales are the ones that say that...

I am going to defend Lucas here. From everything we know, this is in no way his fault.

The issue, at its core, for Lucas was that he is not getting younger and there was no one to 'take the flame' so to speak. No singular head at Lucas Films besides himself and thus Star Wars looked fit to die with him. So, he really only had two options:
1: Find someone to succeed him.
2: Sell to someone who could do it.

None of his kids wanted it, none of his staff were fit to take it, so it really only left 2.

Now, the obvious objection, "Well selling to Disney was a bad idea".
Well, then to whom? And it is not like Lucas just pawned it off willy nilly. He sold it to the person he had worked with before, someone he personally trusted. Bob Igor. Now, Disney gets a lot of hate in here, and not entirely without merit, but Igor is not at fault for Star War becoming a complete trash show, but we'll get to that. For now, all you need to understand is that Lucas had worked with and was friends with Bob Igor.

Now, before leaving Lucas wrote up what he had planned and presented it. Igor said they would take it on advisement, never rejecting or accepting it outright. To then ensure his will, Lucas made the person at the head of it be someone he trusted. Kathleen Kennedy. I never understood why his kids didnt want it...I mean, I know its a big pressure and they probably wanted something else for their lives but DOOD, your father has a fucking sci-fi cultural landscape people would murder to have a fraction of a right to it. Thats like a prince/ss saying they dont want to be king/queen of a prosperous kingdom. Now because they didnt stick for their old man and his creation, its deflowered forever...

Disney: Thanks for the rights, dummies!

What really went wrong is third wave feminism, it's a poison that is literally ruining our culture and Kathleen Kennedy bought into it.

Lucas had no way of knowing that would happen in 2012, nobody saw that coming, I certainly didn't.

So while obviously I wish he hadn't sold Star Wars I can't blame him too much, it was basically just bad luck that things got as turbo fucked as they did.

And isn't it kinda racist to black women to always have them look pretty ugly? To me that feels sorta offensive since some black women look very attractive. Just they always seem to try and make them as unattractive as possible.

Came across this quote today at Teddy Spaghetti's site:

"Women like stories of romance. But women who have had feminism thoroughly metastasize hold the delusion that the natural end of romance (family formation) is oppressive and patriarchal. But they still crave romance.

This, I think, produces this bizarre, vocal subset of fandom that writes fanfic putting every male character into a homosexual relationship. "

I think this is a huge problem with modern fandom. It reflects dysgenic changes in society. We were once at a point in time where hooking up with a man and forming a family was the ONLY thing a woman could do to secure herself a future (provided she didn't join a convent, a brothel, or become a rare career woman.) Once technology had developed to the point where people could make comfortable livings outside of the home, there was an opportunity for women to contribute via that route. However, there was so much pressure applied by cultural forces to dislodge women from the "you can ONLY be a wife and mother" mindset and have them join the workforce, that things went in the opposite direction. Now we have women who are demonized if they marry and have kids right out of high school. A woman should ideally be able to choose which path she wants to take: stay at home mom or career woman, but feminists (and progressive content makers) want to pressure women into hating men and putting their career above everything. Proponents of third wave feminism say it's all about women being able to make their own choices, but it really isn't.

Young girls who might have gone boy crazy and been hot to marry right after high school are pressured to spend 10 years of their life going to college and establishing a career first. (Granted, every girl should have some job skills and a work history to help her along in case economic need warrants it. But not every woman needs a Masters Degree in Communications or LGBTXYQ Studies in order to be successful.) Consequently, you have a lot of young, hot to trot women taught to hate and fear domesticity. No wonder they turn to gay shipping as a form of "pure" romance, unburdened by the fear of pregnancy or homemaking.

Fuck it. I'm not a chef, I have no access to cooking stuff, and I have no idea what I'm doing. If some brave Kiwi wants to try this recipe, go on ahead. It's probably not going to work, but hey, it'll be an attempt. Let me try and make a themed dish, let's see how things go. This is right off the top of my head, no prep, no testing. This won't work, but with tweaking it could in theory.

THE KRAYT DRAGON
You'll need:
1 16 oz. steak, uncooked.
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 jalapeno
1/2 a lemon
1/2 a lime
1/4th a clove of garlic
water
2 tsp onion powder
A few chives.

First, make peace with God, since this will probably turn out disastrously.

Juice the lemon and lime into a food processor. Then, with a fork or similar instrument, scrape the pulp into the processor as well. Set the jalapeno on fire for no reason, then extinguish it, remove the stem, and throw it into the food processor. Finely chop the chives before throwing them in as well. Add water until you have enough liquid to fill a small bowl, then salt, pepper, and onion powder. Toss the garlic in there too.

Blend this mixture until it is watery and does not have any significant chunks. If need be, pass it through a strainer, pressing down firmly on the strainer to extract as much liquid as possible. Pour the liquid into a bowl as you scrape small channels into the steak. Once you do so, put the steak in this horrible mixture and let stand for a few hours.

Then cook the steak as normal.
Nahh, it's pretty much a standard marinade. It works fine (though I'd add cilantro to the mix due to the mexicano theme this has) and the time in the juice bath will make sure that the tougher parts of the steak should be more tender due to the denatured proteins.

It's already far more fucking competent than Disney's menu.

Still waiting for Mickey to be public domain btw.
And on that day the Pornhub front page will be nothing but Mickey getting "steamboated".
stay at home mom or career woman, but feminists (and progressive content makers) want to pressure women into hating men and putting their career above everything
Anecdotally, it has gone far in the other direction. Being able to be a stay at home mom is a status symbol because it's nearly impossible to raise children with one income.

If you really want to break the proteins down, you should probably dry-brine it in the fridge for 24-48 hours before you marinate it:

Basically the salt is supposed to seap into the meat during that time and break the proteins down, so that when you cook the steak, the muscle fibers don't contract & squeeze all the juices out.

You can actually do the same thing with shredded pineapples, due to their bromelain doing the same thing. Just wash it off before cooking; it makes flank steaks and cheap shit cuts pretty damn tender and gelatinous.

The worst part about Cere is that it's supposed to be a model of the actress who played here. Here's a picture of her to compare

I'll grant you that she looks better than she is portrayed in the video game, but she still has the bug-eyed problem that her makeup is doing absolutely nothing to mitigate.

It's the genderbended "girl on girl is hot".

Yeah, at least it's better than people looking like monsters in games than they do in real life.
