My only way to explain it is what I dub the 'High School Cafeteria' theory. People will self segregate based on race. Then, within that, they will segregate on popularity. Dave is the King of the reetards. So, the lower, weaker reetards support and prop him up because "he fights back/doesn't take shit" from the other groups.

It's why the low based reetards hate the "trolls" so much. Even when they are in their 20s-40s, and donate obscene amounts of money; they're still fighting that high school popularity fight (ie: planetjeff, makes +$150K a year, would still talk about trolls). Donating to Dave is their way of "fighting back" against all the times they were made fun of--completely oblivious everyone is made fun of.

This strikes me as really weird because normally with a popular new release, DSP will overhype it because he thinks it will finally be the game that brings in tons of new views/donations. Some games he's avoided it for, but usually that's because it is notoriously a game he doesn't want to play, like a new fighting game. Nothing immediately comes to mind with Cyberpunk 2077 that would set off red flags for DSP, but he's really going out of his way to make up reasons not to play it. I haven't followed much of Cyberpunk 2077's development cycle, is there something I'm missing that DSP really wants to avoid?

In all of the promotion for Cyberpunk 2077, there's been barely any swearing in the trailers or gameplay videos; it sure as hell isn't so pervasive that it's noticeable. There's plenty of graphic violence (people getting electrocuted, having an eye ripped out, getting blasted from 2 feet away by a shotgun, etc.), but I guess that's not worth mentioning as part of the shock value. It's strange to hear Phil say "f-word" instead of just saying "fuck" when he has no problem doing so as every other word, as pointed out in the video. And the whining about sex scenes, my god what a baby. Witcher 3 had sex scenes, he didn't care. Mass Effect had sex scenes, he didn't care. Duke Nukem Forever had tons of actually immature sexual references, he didn't care. Ride to Hell: Retribution had (very embarrassing) sex scenes, he didn't care. His favorite game, Heavy Rain, had a sex scene, he didn't care. We get it, Phil, you're an incel who is terrified of your asexual wife leaving you for watching video game sex scenes or doing dating missions, but being so selectively weirded out by sex and swearing is the exact opposite of maturity. Does this apply only to video games, or are romance and sex scenes in movies/TV shows also not okay for him to watch? Must suck living in perpetual fear.

He personally likes RPGs (I think) but whines about them because they're too long for the pitybux to keep flowing. Back in 2016 before he went back to Twitch, he outright called length > 10 hours "bad game design" because he couldn't maintain viewer interest once the novelty wore off after 2 or 3 streams.
