Crime TV reporter smacked on bottom during live broadcast: ‘You violated, objectified and embarrassed me’

Authorities promise to take action against runner after WSAV New’s Alex Bozarjian assaulted while covering road race in Georgia
A TV reporter said she was left “violated” and “embarrassed” after being smacked on the bottom during a live broadcast.

Alex Bozarjian, of WSAV News, was reporting roadside from a 10km race in Savannah, Georgia, when a male participant ran up behind and struck her.

Ms Bozarjian appeared visibly shocked in footage of the incident as streams of runners continued to pass her on Savannah Bridge.

She later condemned the runner, saying: “To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: you violated, objectified, and embarrassed me.

“No woman should EVER have to put up with this at work or anywhere! Do better.”

Fellow reporters showed their support for Ms Bozarjian’s statement on Twitter, while criticising the man responsible.

“I’m so heated for you,” Emily Bloch of the Florida Times said. “This is disgusting. Sending strength and solidarity your way. Now, let’s get this grimy dude and warn the women in his life.”

ABC News 13’s Caitlyn Penter wrote: “DO NOT TOUCH REPORTERS. Period.”

Ms Bozarjian was covering the annual Savannah Bridge Run on Saturday when the incident happened.

Robert Wells, director of the Savannah sports council, promised to find the runner and take action.

“Alex, what happened today is 100 per cent unacceptable,” Mr Wells said. “You have my assurance we will identify him.

“This will not be tolerated at our events. Glad we have race bibs and photos for easy identification.”

Welp, looks like its time to ruin another man's life. Good job, society, I'm sure there will never be any consequences for this overreaction.
You know his life didn't have to be ruined. That lady just standing there doing her job was absolutely asking for it. any man in his position would have done the exact same thing. All those other men that ran by weren't real men.

I obviously don't support slapping women on the butt in public, but what he did is more appropriately classified as 'assaulting a reporter' rather than 'sexually assaulting a woman', and that's an entirely different matter.

Yeah, this was a 10K fun run not a marathon.

ofc it's from Twitter for iPhone

Slap-Ass!

I'm imagining this Emily chick is jealous, along with many other wahmen among the journos. I doubt this chick is actually upset tbh.
They rarely ever deal with men who aren't like David Shitrat or Bunty, or fatfucks like Matt who totally respect your space and express emotions and all that dumb shit.
They're fucking pent up because of the purist bullshit they spew. Just like Christian school girls. Secret whores all of them.

Wow, I would find a way to fire this woman if I was her boss. This is large enough of an over reaction that she is clearly a lawsuit waiting to happen and that’s not a risk worth having around. Now I don’t think she should be expected just let go that a random guy smacked her ass like that. If she just gotten mad or said something mean about the guy that would have been fine. Don’t go smacking asses of people you don’t personally know that they are cool with that, especially on record. Pretty darn reasonable standard and I can understand her being embarrassed, but this over emotional display means she eather a complete drama queen or too childish to handle fairly minor setbacks. Huge red flag eather way so I would find some excuse or other to not her on pay roll too much longer.
