I don’t think that’s quite true. It’s all an act. Piggylou rehearsed him half to death (literally) to behave this way, he’s just going through the motions. Desmond is basically an avatar Piggylou has hooked up herself to.

How much of that can be attributed to his sicko mother coaching his every move though? He gets rewarded with positive attention by enacting the kind of behavior his mother and her cabal of degenerates approve of. I can't really fault him for that. He's a kid who doesn't know better

And I understand that. It's basically brainwashing, especially at this age. But it's like a story about someone who keeps going back to an abusive relationship. Like, I get it, but I don't want to expend the emotional energy to keep someone from intentionally destroying themselves while they call everyone else an asshole.

It’s so horrifying. Desmond needs to be seeing a dietician and a speech therapist, not to mention a neurologist. He's a literal child. Children's inability to fend for themselves from abusers- especially in the family- is why society justifiably despises pedophilia and child abuse. We treat it differently because kids cannot fend for themselves. i try not to hold kids too responsible for their spergery. children are easily influenced by their surroundings and are notorious parrots. he's always surrounded by insipid fags and self-absorbed gays, so it's only natural that he would mimic them himself.
