Crime TV reporter smacked on bottom during live broadcast: ‘You violated, objectified and embarrassed me’

Authorities promise to take action against runner after WSAV New’s Alex Bozarjian assaulted while covering road race in Georgia
A TV reporter said she was left “violated” and “embarrassed” after being smacked on the bottom during a live broadcast.

Alex Bozarjian, of WSAV News, was reporting roadside from a 10km race in Savannah, Georgia, when a male participant ran up behind and struck her.

Ms Bozarjian appeared visibly shocked in footage of the incident as streams of runners continued to pass her on Savannah Bridge.

She later condemned the runner, saying: “To the man who smacked my butt on live TV this morning: you violated, objectified, and embarrassed me.

“No woman should EVER have to put up with this at work or anywhere! Do better.”

Fellow reporters showed their support for Ms Bozarjian’s statement on Twitter, while criticising the man responsible.

“I’m so heated for you,” Emily Bloch of the Florida Times said. “This is disgusting. Sending strength and solidarity your way. Now, let’s get this grimy dude and warn the women in his life.”

ABC News 13’s Caitlyn Penter wrote: “DO NOT TOUCH REPORTERS. Period.”

Ms Bozarjian was covering the annual Savannah Bridge Run on Saturday when the incident happened.

Robert Wells, director of the Savannah sports council, promised to find the runner and take action.

“Alex, what happened today is 100 per cent unacceptable,” Mr Wells said. “You have my assurance we will identify him.

“This will not be tolerated at our events. Glad we have race bibs and photos for easy identification.”

Plus there is the runner's high, coupled with a boost in testosterone from the prolonged physical activity, the ass slapper was probably feeling like King Dick of Balls Mountain at the time, ( incidentally that is my official title and I will stand no usurpers to my degenerate throne) and made a really stupid move for no other reason than it felt really good to do in the moment. It's like doing stupid shit when drunk and trading the hangover for shin splints.

Not giving him a pass for it though, you just don't slap a stranger's ass anymore no matter how juicy and tempting it may be.

I'm of two minds here. On the one hand, I agree that, while a dick move, something like this really isn't that much of a big deal and that it really shouldn't be worth destroying someone's life over.

On the other hand, if you're stupid enough to do something like that on national television, especially in the current cultural climate, then you're an imbecile and deserve to reap what you've sown.

Married men shouldn't play around on their wives, even if it's just a ~playful slap~ where you hit a stranger for no reason on live national television. Hitting someone unprovoked is a crime and is grounds for reacting in self-defense in sensible states, which is why it's a shame this didn't happen in Florida: the lady could have shot him dead with a gun and no one would prosecute her.

This kind of stuff is why Mike Pence is the only sensible public figure, he understands that he shouldn't be seen playing around on his wife at any cost and always gets a chaperone if there's a chance he might be alone with a woman. He's lived by those rules for pretty much his entire married life and he has never experienced any marriage trouble or accusations of playing around with women because of it.

It's always good to read a thread like this when I start to get a little too high of an opinion of the Farms user base.

Correct Opinion: Guy is stupid and deserves to be mocked for his lack of self-control and tact, but shouldn't be publicly hanged like he will be. If the sexes were switched the dude would have turned around and winked at the woman and it literally would have never come up again except on shitty YouTube compilations. Because we live in Current Year this is literally the end of the world and you can even see it here on the Farms. I don't know what is wrong with a (minority) number of posters here. They seem to think she should giggle and say "I don't mind". I can guarantee if some chad came up to their girlfriend in a bar and slapped her ass they wouldn't be happy if she giggled and said "I don't mind".
