Bigot Brigade Something Awful and Friends - The roller-coaster train-wreck embarrassing downfall of a Web 1.0 giant and its tick offspring like from Cloverfield

I'm aware that Something Awful's troon community is watching this thread, and that they're a bit wary about personally identifiable information getting around. They're so wary, in fact, that they hid away their troon thread so photographs and other potentially embarrassing tidbits about them wouldn't be exposed to the public anymore.

This bothered me, since I've found great joy in reading past troon threads with such delightful posts as "I'm doing really well because I managed to stop myself from slamming all my pills and dying last night :unsmith:" The older threads also provide unique insight into gentler times on the Something Awful forums, when posters like TinTower could get away with saying things like this:

So, I went ahead and took matters into my own hands, with regards to the second most recent troon thread -- the last one to be posted in E/N. I took the liberty of getting a few screenshots, to perhaps browse more closely at a later date.

I wish to assure the SA troons reading this thread that I do this solely out of love for their safe, vibrant, and non-toxic community. Have a wonderful night. :)

Well closing FYAD is still not enough IMO. Even hiding the forum doesn't suffice. If they really want to be pure, they need to entirely remove FYAD from SA's database. I mean think of the hundreds of troons who probably anhero'd due to FYAD shitposts. If they really want purity and tolerance the mods and admins must wipe any trace of FYAD off of SA itself. I mean let's also not forget you can still get data for doxing troons off old FYAD shitposts despite the forum being closed and nobody can post new things, old data can still be relevant or point people in a general direction for further doxing. And men on the inside can still scrape doxing material from them.

I mean if you don't trust your family members to not be bigots how can you trust internet moderators who have no standards for being promoted to their position? They could betray you too.

Delete FYAD, that's the only way to be free from the hatred and it's the only way to ensure it's ilk will never come back.

Man is there even going to be a forum left when Lowtax comes back? I wonder if he can just live off being a safe space troons the way things are going.

Now I'm rooting that his religious ex wife / kids get the forum now and we all get to watch the fireworks.

I for one feel extremely owned by SA nuking FYAD and mobbing Facts Are Useless. Definitely stop doing that!

I don’t know what they’re going to do if they become as fun and appealing as ResetERA. I would be so mad. As the kiwifarms alt account of FYAD user ArfJason I demand they cease and desist.

I think it's more that people don't actually lurk SA as much as ResetERA because the hot takes you'd see are of similar caliber.
