US Hillary Clinton emerges as top choice of Democratic voters in Harvard-Harris presidential poll - Poll finds Clinton edges Biden, Sanders

She’s not running for president — yet — but Hillary Clinton was the top choice for Democratic voters in the Harvard-Harris national poll released last week.

Mrs. Clinton drew 21%, followed by former Vice President Joseph R. Biden with 20%, when registered Democrats were asked whom they would support for the 2020 party presidential nod if she and former Secretary of State John Kerry were added to the mix.

Placing third in the hypothetical race was Vermont Sen. Bernard Sanders at 12%, followed by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren at 9% and ex-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg at 7%.

The online survey of 1,859 voters was conducted Nov. 27-29, a few days after Mr. Bloomberg entered the race, by the Harris Poll, and released by the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard.

In the current primary field without Mrs. Clinton, Mr. Biden led the pack with 29%, followed by Mr. Sanders with 16%, Ms. Warren with 13% and Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 8%. Both Mr. Bloomberg and Mr. Kerry drew 5%.

The 2016 Democratic presidential candidate, Mrs. Clinton told BBC last month that she had no plans to enter the 2020 contest, although she added, “I never say never to anything.”

“I will certainly tell you, I’m under enormous pressure from many, many, many people to think about it,” she said. “But as of this moment, sitting here in this studio talking to you, that is absolutely not in my plans.”

The former secretary of state lost to Republican Donald Trump in 2016 by 304 to 227 electoral votes, although she carried the popular vote by about 3 million.

Fact: Hillary Clintion is up to her soulless eyes in corruption and crimes. We all know this. Everyone except the extremely uninterested and ardent Democrat supporters in greatest denial know this. Her crimes are such that any ordinary person would be in prison for life right now. Or unlife in her case. Her influence and the degree to which other powerful people would also be implicated, are what has made her untouchable.

Opinion: Her political capital has been heavily depleted by her failing to secure the presidency as she promised and that there are only so many Epstein's and Seth Rich's you can pull off before some of that blood begins to stick. People were willing to be complicit in her activities and do dirty deeds so long as they knew she had the power and influence to protect them. I'm not sure people have that level of faith in her any longer. They've seen her wounded. They've seen connected people brought down. Those that can are beginning to protect themselves. Those that remain are in it because they're so closely tied they know if she goes down they do, too. Previously untouchable figures are being brought down, the castle is being chipped away at bit by bit.

Hypothesis: There's a real chance if Trump wins 2020 and has a majority we might see actual prosecutions. We're seeing Dems going to the brink of all out political war at the moment. And the card they are playing like a monkey with a drum over and over is this notion that Trump mustn't / shouldn't / can't use the resources of the state to investigate political rivals. I think she's in it for survival. If she's the Democrat candidate, she's somewhat protected politically from Trump going all out on her. (Or at least she expects to be - but Trump is a madman). Additionally, if she's the Democrat candidate, the rest of the party and its funders have no choice but to defend her.

A lot of people put a lot of money into Project Hillary. And it flopped. It was a bad investment. So I think for Hillary it's about survival.

Tangential: I do not believe Biden can be the final candidate. He's a stalking horse. I don't know why or what last minute switcharoo will be pulled, but it would be insanity to run with him. This would fit neatly with the above.

Lol it doesn't matter if she was pulling at 99%. It's already way too late for her to register in nearly every primary, if not all of them.

Well that's good news. For all that I think her running would be a guaranteed lose for the Dems, just the prospect of President Hillary is enough to give me nightmares.

To be fair, I'd take her over Trump any day.

Hillary is establishment and a woman.

She will do standard neocon nonsense alongside retarded shit out of the blue to make her mark. Every woman who gains power does something insane to make their mark - just look at female principles at any public school.

Lol dude they literally can't. The logistics of the whole thing wouldn't work even if they wanted to break every rule in the book.

maybe go with a conspiracy theory that Hillary secretly filed papers that no one knows about. And her campaign is funded by the estate of the late Jeffrey Epstein, who she murdered to finance her 2020 run. This is more viable of a theory than rewriting every states election laws at the last second.

Hillary is not running. There is no need to become agitated at that prospect, because it's not happening.

Biden's campaign is a zombie and Warren will be the Democrat nominee.

Warren won't win. This contest is already over.

The interesting question is who will be the D nominee in 2024 and 2028. That person is probably already on the scene.

You don't need election laws

chance the DNC rules to allow them to select delegates at convention to "Be more fair"

Also have other pleb tier canidates say they will give their delegates to HER (like Cory Booker)

They have a 2028 canidate in the elected governmental class. They will probably elect Bob Iger in 2024

You're assuming there'll still be a Democratic party in 2024/28. I fully expect a split like Labour/Liberal Democrats in the UK with most of the preferred pronouns/SJW/transcrazies in one camp and the sane, more classic liberals in the other.

I really hope that's not true because if this is the final lineup of possible DNC nominations I already know who's going to win and it's going to be a very boring election.
yeah the only excitement left is seeing who gets kicked out of the clown car next

Edit lol: she still technically has time in quite a few states but I'm not sure if she has enough of them to actually win the primary
