Speaking of Jim; got to ask this: for the longest time, he kept promising a video about a school shooter who got stopped by a couch or him shitting his pants and it somehow foiling the mass murder plot. He never did the video, so I have to ask who and what was he talking about and the story behind that and why Jim was going to do a video about it before he got distracted by something shiny?

If a manga binge (or any kind of binge) is so all-consuming that it stops you from addressing livelihood-related matters for weeks on end, it’s safe to say there’s something wrong with you. No shame for being a depressive, as I’m guessing many (if not all lol) of us have been there. But it makes me worry for him a bit.

We'll never know what Jim's motivations are, but he briefly flirted with the idea of making videos painting shooters as the dumb pieces of shit they. This was during the time where the Mainstream Media (and YouTube, by extension) were pretending to give a shit about the fact that they constantly give shooters a sympatheic platform by giving them tons of fame, talking at length about thier Manifestos, and frequently painting them as victims themselves. They also went so far as to suggest they stop doing this, only to keep doing it even more and repeatedly (a fact the Christchurch shooter literally put in his manifesto).
The short version about that specific shooter was that he was caught getting prepared and was only able to kill 2 people in a hallway as the school was already getting into Lockdown mode. The classroom he entered had an office that he wasn't able to get into, because the teacher had barricaded the door with a couch (hence calling him "couch cuck").
I don't know why Jim dropped the topic, but I would guess he didn't want to make effort into that as a video series just for YouTube to pull them down for being controversial/bullying/terms of service/etc.
