Mass Antifa violence seems to happen in either
- A College Town (Berkeley, Charlottesville)
- Portland
- Olympia
Olympia is similar. It's a state captial, so most the economy is tied to bureaucratic government work. While Olympia hosts the notorious Evergreen State College, it was never big and its enrollment has been significantly down due to their nationally talked about meltdown. But that school was hyper leftist, even by University standards, down to the way it was structured (they didn't even have grades), which attracts the left of the left, from one of the most leftist states, in one of the most left wing regions of the country. The people who go to Evergreen kick around after, and form a strong Antifa coven. I think Olympia's problem is not so much overt sympathy so much as fear (both of the moral and visceral sort) and lack of resources.
This leaves Portland. Portland despite its recent gussying up by hipsters, is a shithole. I call it "Chicago for White People" for how rotten and corrupt it is. If you walk around the main city center, you'll be taken aback by how many old old brick buildings remain, and how old fashion the layout still is. You could almost imagine a buggy just coming down the street in most sections. There is also a lack of skyscrapers for a US city with it's population. This does give a nice, quiant character to the city, but it's the result of economic stagnation. They never needed to tear down old buildings to put up new gones becuase there was never a need. Most of the major industry and employers are in other cities like Beaverton. I've often wondered if the city is a commuter city, with most people leaving to go work in the 'burbs.
I don't know about that. The state outside of Portland is made up of some the most insane rednecks imaginable. Portland's weirdness, before it was supplanted by hipster quirkiness, was originally that of a depraved, crazed, hillbilly, who would rape you to death and harvest your organs because God told him so. That spirit still alive though the state, and lurks underneath Portland's cute quirky vinear by the way. There was talk of the owners of VooDoo Dounuts, a Wow!-So-Quirky-And-Hip! Portland staple, having sex parties with underage children. Their company logo even lines up with FBI recognized pedo signaling symbols, down to when the symbols were most prevalent and the founding of the Donut place in the early 00's. But this thread is about Antifa. I guess the point is only a major city as internally depraved as Portland would allow the level of violence and public street thug intimidation that has transpired to happen. Even places like Chicago and Baltimore would have the common sense to try and shove this under the rug.
tl;dr: Portland is Chicago for White People and Possibly Pedos.
