Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

Can someone explain why death fats seem to have weird pigskin like markings on their bodies? Why does she have little dots/bumps? I hate when they try and get "deep" by talking about their bodies this way, as if there is anything natural about how they've gotten that huge.

Probably related to cellulite formation and sebum production issues. Smaller bumps are likely blocked pores/ingrown hairs whereas larger bumps and dimples are likely a form of cellulite.

Essentially what happens is that the skin is filled to bursting with fat and the connective tissue fails to compensate, stretching and contorting in a desperate bid to keep things intact.
Excess metabolic fat can lead to whitehead/blackhead formation and loose skin is a breeding ground for ingrown hair. Thus the pebbly appearance of morbidly obese skin.

I think I've heard it called "chicken skin". Not sure what the real name of it is, but I thought it had to do with blocked pores or blocked hair follicles. Probably like you said caused or exacerbated by excess fat.

Why is every social media fatty being so dramatic about this?

Just because your girlfriend looks like a blob, does not mean she has no gender.

Losing weight would really help your immune system.
Sorry I'm late, but this is actually something that has been bugging me.
They've started normalizing incontinence. I see ads for adult diapers everywhere. "Try our new diapers with a pretty print! You can pretend they're panties!" I'm not in a demographic one would think would be the target market for adult diapers. And the women in the ads are often pretty young.
Also, I've noticed that some stores have started putting diapers and pee pads right next to the feminine hygiene products. They used to be in their own special aisle with the medical supplies. You know, since incontinence is a condition and not a normal body function.
Being even a little overweight makes you susceptible to incontinence. So now they're normalizing it. We already have #cpapbabes, get ready for #poiseprincess.

Yep, add to that a poor diet high in saturated fats, carbohydrates, and processed fillers/binders, a poor hygiene regimen, and ill fitting clothing and smooth skin is almost impossible to achieve. Most obese folk have rather rough skin from my limited experience.

Keratosis pilaris is commonly called "chicken skin," but I found this from an RD:

Kids often eat too much processed foods and not enough nuts, seeds, olive oil, or other basic essential fats. Poor fat consumption can cause a wide variety of symptoms, including “chicken skin,” Dorfman says. Unfortunately, this condition is often misdiagnosed as keratosis pilaris, a skin condition in which red bumps appear on the upper arms, thighs, and cheeks.

If patients have bumpy skin and their diet reflects a lack of essential fatty acids, suggest they change their diet to include essential fats found in foods such as walnuts or olive or flaxseed oils and take fish oil capsules, a quick fix that provides the proper fats and will clear up this type of rash.

Keratosis Pilaris isn't a "rash", idk what kind of quack site you pulled that from.
The protein that our skin makes to protect itself is called keratin. For some people, too much keratin builds up on the surface of their skin and their body can’t figure out how to get rid of it fast enough. When this keratin stays put, it clogs pores and creates hard, rough patches that feel like sandpaper. So really, KP is just extra keratin cells that have joined together to create these tough, irritated patches on the skin’s surface.
KP can be on anyone. Obesity-related bad skin problems are not the same.

The RD isn't calling KP a rash. She's saying there's a rash that's misdiagnosed as KP that can be cleared up with proper nutrition. I have no idea if that's true (though GPs are by and large terrible at the differential diagnosis of skin conditions, so it wouldn't surprise me), but obviously obese people are typically eating a lot of shit processed foods and aren't eating many quality fats.

New Season of 600 lb Life
... In awe at that size of this lad.

Seeing a giant gunt like that really smacks you back to the reality of super morbid obesity. Holy fucking shit. How tragic. I hope whoever helped this person eat to this weight is forced to see the fruits of their labor via weigh ins and grim prognoses. And has to be present at the early funeral.

I like the juxtoposition of the pretty, manicured, nails with the sheer mass of corpulancy and complete neglect. That belly spread is like a mound of freshly-risen dough, or like some kind of fungi.
Didn't notice the nails! Gotta say the attempting to even get a hospital gown on it was that a troll move by the hospital?

^I'm gonna say that this completely depends on why and how a person needs someone to care for her. If someone is incapacitated because she refuses to manage her weight and take control of her health, then yes, she is a burden as well as selfish.

And I just learned that this Sharpie-huffing nitwit has four kids, but the basic task of packing their lunches and making them dinner is too triggering for her. :heart-empty:

"#fatliberation"
Yes, nothing says liberating like having someone else wipe your ass.

"I have to make too many decisions about food that I'm emotionally spent when it comes to my kids food needs."
I read that as, "I'm too lazy (and possibly narcissistic) to care for my own children's needs."

What's the farm's take on lipedema?
Lipedema is encapsulated fat, most of the time in legs, which you can manage with diet and exercise but can't get rid off completely. Think of fat streaked bacon.
Its apparently a legit malady but I see lots of overlaps with fat activists. Like spouting to be a 'fighter' and hashtag bodypositivity and then asking daddy for liposuction money.

I think everything possible should be done to manage it, even if it won't go away entirely. It's hard to sympathize with people like Anna who have just said "fuck it" and considerably exacerbate it with their terrible habits. I do feel for people who try to take care of themselves and have to deal with it.

Sure, its shit needing waist 30 jeans but still have legs the size of 40 jeans, I still wouldnt trust you with any position of responsibility when you put yer ass on the internet for upcummies with 22-23.
Its just a weird overlap, talking as if you have skull bone cancer and 'fighting' it.
