I feel like Homestuck is plagued by the same problems a lot of IPs are today-- jumping the shark because a bunch of assholes who aren't the original artists tried to expand on it solely for money, or because it simply went on too long. Game of Thrones was good, and then they ran out of books to adapt and starting filming fanfiction. Star Wars was good, but they couldn't just leave it at the original three films because it was too profitable. Harry Potter was good (or so I've heard, I've never read it) but then the author lost her mind and Twitter and started letting other people publish glorified fanfiction. The Simpsons was a great show until all of its good writers left around season eight.

Why are content creators so terrified of fucking closure? Of ending one story and starting a new one? The moment the credits were posted, everybody involved should have moved on to something else. Peoples' inability to just end stories completely makes fans hate even the original good parts. I'm sick of Star Wars now. Game of Thrones just depresses me, because I know George will never finish the original books and the only ending we have is the fucking trainwreck HBO shat out.

Endings-- good endings, not always satisfying ones-- are fucking important. Half of the reason things like Breaking Bad and Back to the Future are still held in high esteem is because they fucking ended before things could feel hackneyed and repetitive. The ending to the Sopranos wasn't satisfying, but at least it was an ending with a solid artistic purpose, and thanks to that, the show never jumped the shark and still has a good reputation. Endless sequels don't "add" anything-- they erode away good will towards the original works in the series.

Yeah, I think this is something we've probably had our fill of in this thread. The more important thing (in the context of the thread) is that the people involved are lolcows, all of whom are either lazy, terrible at writing, social justice speds, or some combination of the three.

If you want to talk about your favorite character or who you think is cute or whatever, take it to Reddit. Most of the people here have read the original and understand the incongruities with the characters. All of the characters have gotten bastardized in some capacity-- that much is a given. We know John, Roxy, and Vriska were never intended to be trans and that nothing in the original comic indicates that they would be.

So basically what I took out of this is that he (yes he) thinks delusional men who call themselves women can do whatever the fuck they want with no consequences.

She pushed a guy she liked off a fucking cliff and later killed him, mind-controlled her friend until she committed suicide, and blinded her best friend. None of that shit would suddenly be okay solely because she had a penis? Which she doesn't anyway, so it's a moot point.

Nailed it right there. Couldn't have said it better myself.
Also to add to it how some longer series actually CAN work, they may be kinda commercialized in a way. But he manga series (there is an anime with all kinds of weird specials but the quality is subpar compared to the manga honestly) One piece for example has been going strong for almost 20 years soon. And that stuff is still mostly written and drawn by the original author. And also it's been free from being tainted by social justice cunts and shit which really makes me grateful.

Homestuck honestly whether people liked it or not, actually had an ending, and it may not have been amazing but it still went out a bit with a bang, with the whole animated sequence, lots of symbolism/interpretations for the story and so on. It really didn't need to continue past that besides making more cash (and some may disagree but I actually found the hiveswap game enjoyable, not amazing but just comfy) but all these other new stuff just feels so forces. Yes they can have merch whatever but i wish they would just let it go instead of making more and more bad stuff, like puppetering a corpse at this point.

(I count messing with past work, "x character is now trans whatever" in this)

He just looks like a 12 year old boy with greasy hair. Fuckin' Buffalo Bill junior over here. My favorite picture is the one where he's trying to pull a seductive face next to his Apple watch.

What a fantastic person for Andrew to pass his magnum opus on to. Maybe Homestuck 3 will be written by CWC!

Why did you buy this in the first place? You've only encouraged him! Now he's gonna flood the twitter with his shit!
Good, all the more terrible awkward nudes to laugh at. As a general rule, the bigger a cow's ego gets, the lulzier they become.

What is it with ugly troons and posting nudes anyway? Jesus I get that they're narcissists, but thinking people want to see your shriveled ladypeen and flat ass is just delusional.

I never thought I could be more flaccid than I was before I entered a KiwiFarms thread, but I guess I'm just not that deep of a thinker.

What a mess of a company. It's funny to me that the replies that argue "w-well it's okay for minors to see this because she said you shouldn't buy it if you're not 18!" (as if that's gonna stop a presumably very stupid kid with a borrowed card) are without a doubt the same people who go around calling everyone a pedophile for crimes that range to jerking off to a 17 year-old anime character or disagreeing with their opinion. But hey, whatever it takes to own the Repubs...and the Libs who don't like Bernie either I guess.

It says a lot that a person who unironically relates and sympathizes with Vriska has absolutely no moral character to speak of and does things to upset others (who are "the bad guys" whenever she deems them to be) for kicks.
