In my entire Reddit life span, I have not seen a single subreddit more delusional and circlejerk-y than r/antiwork. Basically, it's a subreddit that complains about the concept of jobs and wants work to somehow be abolished by taxing the rich or... something. Instead of giving you long and tedious explanations of how the subreddit functions, I'm going to something different. Here's a little recipe on how to recreate that subreddit:

1 - Throw commies, hobos, college students and redditors into a giant pot.
2 - Heat it with the fire of angry unemployed parasites.
3 - Sprinkle a generous amount of naivety and ignorance on it.
4 - Put the mixture into a bowl and add some revolution fantasy to top it off.
5 - Serve with downvotes and bans.

Decent enough point, a good amount of super rich people started higher than the rest. But, that's kind of the point, working hard so your children become better than you ever were.
Also, my Granddad is a selfmade man. He went to Korea, worked on radar and the like on an airbase there, came home from the war, went to college, and started a company from what he learned. He did very well for himself, and he's not a 'myth'.

Work can never be abolished because its a part of life. Even the earliest humans had to hunt and build shelters. If nobody worked who will grow food, powervour homes, or manage the sewage systems?

I have to give them credit, of all the "facebook/couch protesters" who exhibit hypocrisy by telling other people to do things that they refuse to (feed the poor, etc), demanding that other people figure out how to abolish all manual labor from society instead of figuring it out for themselves actually aligns with their dogma of doing nothing.

Like god forbid one of them just gets into engineering and automate a few jobs, or become a politician and eradicate a few jobs (the exact opposite of what a politician does, but that's unrelated). But that would require some kind of passion, some kind of calling in life to help other people. These guys are just spiteful manbabies who were never spanked as a kid and just want to see the world burn for the sake of it, using any excuse possible to validate it (reinstate communism, etc) They don't want to help people who can't work, they want to hurt people they feel have slighted them (anyone in power)

Nah, in the case of having to track and kill deer to eat that isn't really an obligation imposed on you by any person its just a happenstance of your carbon-based being. Juxtapose this with an economic system which has the legal backing of the de-facto authority upon which the consumer is totally and completely dependent for everything they need want or own. How does liberty thrive when you are totally dependent on the economic paradigm and the state that upholds it? People don't grow their own food anymore, or build their own houses, or make their own clothes. They've outsourced it all. Just about the only thing we haven't outsourced is fucking around doing nothing.

im willing to bet a large number of them have never worked a full day in their lives and just can't be bothered

but funny to think some of these guys think communism will mean they won't have to work

at least with a capitalistic society you get to choose your work instead of being possibly assigned some kind of state mandated manual labour
