The Great Porn Debate - The Coomites vs Anti-Faparians

The problem is that most parents are too exceptional and inept to follow that advice. Imagine if I put up giant murals of interracial gangbangs on my property and then just told parents to cover their kids eyes as they drove by.

The implication here(don't buy your kids a phone, don't let them eat McDonald's every day) is that children born to shitty parents are totally fucked. Which in turn creates a vicious cycle where the kids go on to become shitty parents themselves and create offspring that are even more fucked.

Personal freedom means jack-shit in a population where most people are fat tards addicted to pornography and high fructose corn syrup. Such a population is not capable of sustaining a functioning society, at least not one you'd want to live in.

I started watching porn from the internet when I was 11, or perhaps even 10. And I'm so old that we had only modem-based connections back then. I have since used quite a lot of porn in my time, but I don't believe that it has done anything bad to me. If something, I believe it has had positive effect on my sex-life in general as I have been more interested to try different things out in real life.

You guys are talking a lot about porn and it's potential effects on mental health, children, and relationships.

What do you guys think about porn causing negative physical effects?

A lot of people in the nofap circles seems to think porn leads to things like Death-Grip or Porn-Induced Erectile Dysfunction. Basically you are so used to masturbating with porn that when you do have real sex your body doesn't get stimulated by it, causing limp dick even though you can get erections with porn. It is said that this affects both women and men. For women it's called "dead vagina syndrome".

Why does it seem like porn is getting more and more degenerate? If you go on a major porn website like pornhub it is almost guarnteed that you will find the words "son, daughter, father, mom, stepwhatever."
Porn was always degenerate, you just wanted to pretend it was all plain missionary sex. Look at the ancient greek mythologies for example where Zeus as a swan fucks a woman or it i remeber right, Loki as a horse gets raped or something. Basically all deviant stuff for all those ancients to come up with.

I don't support banning porn for several personal reasons, and because I think historical precedent points to it being a bad decision. That said, I would support an FBI crackdown on the porn industry. When the porn ban debate comes up, all I ever see people talking about is exposure to children and erectile dysfunction (though those are troubling). The amount of abuse in the porn industry is terrifying. The recent news about the owners of Girls Do Porn getting arrested for sex trafficking isn't the exception, it's the norm. They were just unfortunate enough to get caught. Pornhub hosts CP and actual rape tapes, and it's difficult to get them taken down because of the increased prevalence of "teen" and "hardcore" as genres. The majority of performers become drug abusers or alcoholics because of how absolutely miserable their lives are. Cleaning up the abuse in the industry would probably take care of some of the common criticisms of porn on its own, because producers would have less power to make extreme content without taking care of their performers.

I understand why people are anti-porn. Getting massive amounts of dopamine anytime you want isn't healthy and kids getting access to it don't realize just how addictive and unhealthy it is. But to me saying "porn isn't speech" is taking the same logic as someone saying "hate-speech isn't free speech." Both are legally wrong and allow people to take the high ground in an argument by claiming that they aren't wrong, but the laws themselves are wrong.

I've no issue with coomers, but seeing the vast majority of interactions on social media being "flirting" and reposting porn; that I have an issue with. I've been around reasonable people with entire friendships based around RP or porn and it's honestly depressing, as someone trying to make more acquaintances without spending three digits on porn a week to do so.

It's less porn doing that and a mix of retarded masturbation habits and performance anxiety/incompatible partners doing that, in my opinion.

For the former, I've always held the notion that the act of fapping is fine, but the frequency is what makes it unhealthy. If your going to be dry-jacking it 3-5 times a day every day, no shit that's going to do a number on your sensitivity. Giving it a rest for a couple weeks is enough to clear it up, but that doesn't mean you have to swear off it for the rest of your life; they have clearly not been taught that moderation is key.

Then with performance anxiety, my guess is they let the whole guilt of no-fap/death grip stuff get to their heads and they only worry about that instead of letting that shit go and just go with the flow when it's time for the deed to be done. Along with that, I get the feeling that a lot of these single no-fappers' first instinct to see if the fruits of their non-masturbation is true is to go on dating sites for a pump & dump. Problem with this being whatever catch they do get, 9 times out of 10 they're trying to get it on with some dumpy hamplanet that not even the most seasoned of Chads can muster a hard-on for. It's like they forget that the best recipe for fulfilling sex is that your partner is someone that you genuinely like and that you actually find attractive as opposed to being some bottom of the barrel trash heap you have to force yourself to put your dick in to try to prove some retarded point.

I don't know if I can believe this. Most of the ruffer stuff I watch is either heavily scripted or clearly staged. I really doubt the CP claim too. There's already a whole subgenre of porn staring women that look like kids (Emily18 and Teen Topanga)

The second part of your reply is the issue I was talking about. Because porn that features simulated abuse and girls that look underage has become common, it's difficult to identify videos that feature real illegal content, because the producers and uploaders can point at it and claim that it's just part of the genre. I'll put it under a spoiler, but here's some quick information about how common CP and rape are.

Here's a legal case from 2018:

On August 3rd of 2018, the Supreme Court overturned most of U.S. Code Title 18 Section 2257 on 1st and 4th amendment grounds. 2257 required that porn producers keep strict records on the ages of performers, and allow the FBI to inspect them at any time. This ruling was fought directly by the porn industry. Suspicious, no? Here's the final judgement.

--------------

Here are various stories from the past few years. I've numbered them, because it'll be important later:

1. A missing 15 year old girl was discovered after nearly 60 explicit videos of her were found on sites like Pornhub and Snapchat.
2. The owners of GirlsDoPorn were arrested after it was discovered that they tricked young women into participating in porn shoots or lied about how the footage would be used. In some cases, the women were assaulted, prevented from leaving, or threatened with legal repercussions.
3. Justin Lee, son of a wealthy Taiwanese family, was arrested for repeatedly raping drunk girls and filming sex tapes of the assault with hidden cameras. Prior to this, he had been found guilty of secretly filming girls who he had consensual sex with.
4. Several adult film studios have a history of intentionally shooting explicit films featuring minors and paying them to stay quiet afterwards. This article features a 15 year old girl who went from being an extra in the background of a video to being raped on camera, among other stories.

----------

Here's how Pornhub is relevant in all the above cases:

1. It has not been confirmed whether or not all 58 videos featuring this individual have been removed from Pornhub.
2. PornHub deleted GDP's channel after the owners were prosecuted. However, they did nothing when complaints were made by several women in 2015. Even now, they allow users to host mirrors of GDP videos that have not been directly mentioned in the legal case.
3. Several years later, PornHub still hosts and profits from Justin Lee's videos.
4. I can't say whether or not videos featuring the underage girls from this article currently exist on PornHub, but one of the film studios mentioned, Reality Kings, is owned by MindGeek, the media conglomerate that also owns PornHub.

Oh, and here's a fun fact. Pornhub, one of the word's most popular porn sites, has only 6 content moderators. Facebook has nearly 15,000. This is the company that claims to be strongly against domestic abuse, revenge porn, and trafficking, but does very little to fight any of these things on its own platform. In many cases, all that victims can do is repeatedly flag content and hope that it doesn't get uploaded again. The technology exists to screen content as it gets uploaded and instantly strike it, like what YouTube does, but Pornhub refuses to use it.

Read testimonies from former porn performers. The industry is disgusting and big brands are starting to pull their ads. It's also a not very well-known fact that sometimes when the media reports on people who've been raped and murdered, people will search the victim's name on porn sites to try to find clips of the real thing. Porn has a very real problem with violence.

If the government banned everything an exceptional individual could harm themselves with, we'd all be living in padded rooms eating nothing but lentil paste.

Also, consider that there are many people who through illness or medication have lowered libidos. For these people visual stimulation might be necessary to be able to finish. We just gonna tell them they're shit out of luck because some coomer would rather wank 3 times a day than work on his relationship?

Besides that, do you really want the government deciding what’s okay for you to see?
In this case, yes. I'd like to see a lot of producers in prison.
Give them the power to start regulating this shit, you think they’ll stop at hardcore porn?
I suspect they'd stop a softcore porn and the world would still be a better place. There is no slippery slope to free speech from pornography ("fuck the draft" as political free speech was exceptional too; nothing is added of worth), because pornography involves actors. The SCOTUS cases regarding pornography not being prostitution were fucking dumb as hell. Porn if anything is probably worse than prostitution. Pornography simply has zero redeeming qualities, which is supposed to be a part of the obscenity test.

So what happens when somebody wants to ban something you like for “the good of society”?

And what? Saying the draft is bullshit isn’t free speech? Go get shot in some foreign shithole and shut your damn mouth about it?

Hm. I can see your point.
But isn't masturbating too roughly and too often the main issue here and not watching porn while doing so?
I guess someone could get the 'death grip' issue from just jerking multiple times a day, too?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Imagine if they banned drugs or something. Society has the right to ban things. Marijuana decrim is coming, but we'll never see Holland style policies in the U.S. outside of possibly a couple of big cities. There's the political will to ban drugs and enforce the ban, there wasn't for marijuana in a lot of places. There isn't, sadly, for porn currently because a lot of people (mostly men) use it[1] and because it's somehow conflated with free speech and the psychic and spiritual harm that comes to the girls and even the guys involved isn't well known enough or they are too stigmatized for anyone to care. The negative effects of porn addiction on the recipient is tremendous too but as porn's not a topic of polite conversation discussion about them is marginal at best, that is, the support groups online and off. Really, most porn is on a moral level with human trafficking or worse. (Bring on your negatives coomers)

"Fuck the draft" was a reference to Cohen v. California. It is considered free speech. Saying the draft is wrong (it isn't) is free speech. Saying "fuck" is, arguably, obscenity. I personally don't care, but it was a questionable decision in my view and a downright exceptional precedent that was involved in getting us to where we are today.

[1] I choose this word "use" deliberately, nobody or few people "look" at porn without "using" it as a sexual stimulus in order to masturbate.

You’re literally using SJW logic, wanting to ban everything you deem problematic and think that people using no-no words is ruining society.

And yeah, drugs are illegal in most places. How’s that working out?

Not words, dude, porn. Porn is a blight on society, "fuck" merely uncouth (although in 1971, it was a lot more uncouth.) I bring up that case to point out how we got to where we are.
And yeah, drugs are illegal in most places. How’s that working out?
Badly, yet the political will to ban them is still there, my point being that it's a function the state can legitimately undertake, even if it doesn't work that well, as is often the case of government. Drugs are still there. CP is still there. Porn will still be there if it is banned, I imagine it would be a situation like with the pedophile networks. But there's a ridiculous amount of porn out there already, it will surely see distribution, but the idea of a porn industry existing legitimately in society is an outrage. As a matter of fact, simply banning the +production+ of porn would be a great step. People could whack it to porn that already exists. For good measure ban aggregator-tube sites or something, too. Make it impossible to make money off it. I'd like to see every ounce of it put in a rocket and shot up to the moon, but it would be a good start.

I'm not someone who wants to keep adults from viewing porn because I personally find it immoral. My only real concern, aside from the abuse integral to the porn industry, is children being exposed to it.

Nearly all children(94%) have viewed explicit materials online by age 14!

It's not like this is just a case of a few bad parents not paying attention. The social and public health consequences are broad to the point where almost everyone is affected in some way. This is a public health epidemic and it's hardly an overreach for government to take action.

Are the "rights" of a few thousand pornographers and pimps more important than that of the vast majority of society?
