The simple point is that gay people exist and will always exist. It is better to contain them and let them live judge-freely than supressing them and casting them down into the sewers. That way you can implement a different culture among them, else you will end up with a degenerate shadow culture. The problem nowadays is sexual liberation in general. People are encouraged to sympathize and embrace with the worst carnal urges they have, except for children, animals and non-consentual. But even on 2 of these fronts boundaries are being pushed. LGBT and pride doesn't aim to simply reintegrate Homos into society, but push Sexual liberation even further, which can be seen from the constant addition of groups to it.
