I hate to say it but KK and Iger takes the blame. Their whole job is reign in these film makers, and make sure they a delivering a film that is part of a bigger story. They are basically the show runners of the trilogy.

KK should have been asking questions about what 9 was going to be when Rian turned in the 8 script.

The ultimate problem was the fact that these movies were coming out every other year and there was a super tight production schedule. Rian was writing 8 before 7 had even finished production. So basically there was no time to question the 8 script. It had to be rushed to make sure 8 hit it's release window.

Not mentioned here but Rey and Kylo do the force bond thingy and Kylo find out where they are from the gay necklase a local gave to ray. And yes, Kylo physically pulls the necklase to where he is.

they get into a parade and find Lando
(Not exactly, F.O trooper finds them and tries to shoot them but Lando in disguise shoots him, they go to a crawler thingy and he reveals himself)

he tells them he and Luke were searching for Sith artifacts after RotJ and their journey got them to this planet where there was an Sith asasin, he told them the dagger has in it all the knowledge of the assasin as this is a tradition for them.
(They were looking for in on Exegol and believed the assasin might know, they found his ship but nothing in there so a dead end)

He stayed here because the First Order captured his children and felt he failed to protect them. Finn felt bad for him.

They leave Lando and go to search after Ochi's ship, First Order finds them and chase from the trailers happens,they fall into sand and get into a cavern where they find a giant worm wounded Rey uses a new power she didn’t know she has,
(Not technically right, Ray knows how to do it and explains that she gave some of his life force to heal the worm)

Force healing and heals the wound, the worm helps them in exchange, there the worm starts talking and tells them he has a name, Klaud or so.
(No, the worm moves away and reveals a passage way out of the cave)

They find the ship and Ochi's body with the Dagger and try to leave but Rey senses Kylo is coming.
(Ochi's body is in the cave with the dagger, 3PO reads it and says it tells where the wayfinder is, but can't translate it to everybody else because he was put regulator on by the old republic that apparentky made it illegal to translate sith language. This also happens before the snake. After they leave the cavbe, they go to Ochi's ship that for some fucking reason still works and decide to leave with it because Falcon is propably guarded)

They get the ship and go to Millennium Falcon but F. O. is there, they captured Chewie.
(Poe or Finn tells Chewie to go and get Rey since they are leaving, Chewie goes outside but a knight of Ren is also there and captures him. Capture happens off screen)

There Kylo gets out and goes to her, they talk and he tells her how she will join him when he will ask again and she says we will see.
(Doesnt happen and this talks is during the force bond thing before)

They fight

and then she sees F. O.taking Chewie
(Finn runs out to Rey and tells they got chewie while pointing at a leaving transport ship. Finn found this out just before when he comes out of the ship to look for chewie and sees F.O taking chewie to the transport ship, chewie also was carrying the dagger so now F.O has it)

and tries to force take their ship down, Kylo pushes the ship even more away then out of no where Rey uses force lightning to the ship and Kylo looks impressed.
(He looked more bewildered than anything)

Rey is weird ed out and believes she killed Chewie, Finn and Poe arrive with Ochi's ship
(They are grounded and yell Rey to get in as we see more Tie fighters coming)

Kylo looks at her from the distance. After this, no escape sequence or anything, just cut to them in an asteroid belt hiding

Act 3

Addition: in the Ochi's ship, BB- 8 finds the hairdrier robot and fixes him. I believe here is when Ray says that she believes this is the ship that brought her to Jakku as a kid, earlier in act 2 Ray mentions how the ship looks familiar the first time they spot it before they fall in the sand.

They leave the asteroid field and an F.O ship starts to follow them, scene reminicent of when Boba started to follow the Falcon in Empire. REMEMBER EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!? WE DO!

It is also revealed that there were 2 transport ships other having imperial troops and Knights Of Ren, that is the one that got destroyed. The one that had chewie got safeky out and now chewie is their prisoner and have the dagger


They go to Kijimi where Poe says there is a source which could help them translate the Dagger,
(Sort of, they can find a guy who can help 3PO to get over the restriction)

they find Zorri Bliss, a female bounty hunter which was Poe's gf before he became a pilot, he tries to say hello there and she makes fun of him, how he could have guts to come back to her, she agrees to help them because of Rey, she tells her they need to be strong in this galaxy because they aren't as many as them and she looks at Finn and Poe.
(Another sort of. Rey beats her and her goonies in a fight and simply tells Ray she likes her)

They get to a cute alien called Babu Friek
(Yes, Babu Friek is cute and based)


EDIT: 3PO had the dagger in his memmory bank so they can translate even withiout the dagger


F.O. arrives on Kijimi but this time with a new weapon from Sidious, a Star Destroyer with Death Star tech,
(This happens way later near the end when they want to send a message to the resistance of their force and blow up Kijmi. Also, this is when Rey senses chewie on the ship)

Kylo goes to Kijimi to find Rey but they already left and got to his ship to get the Falcon (And Chewie) back using Ochi's ship.
(Addition. They get a pass that helps them get in to the ship from Poe's ex gf. She was going to use it herself to get out of Kijmi since it has universal clearance to almost anywhere. She couldnt leave before due to hyperspace lanes being guarded. Which brings out the guestion how our heroes got here or how she later can come help our heroes in the end but I am ahead of myself.)

Addition: In the ship Rey goes on her own to find the dagger since she senses. It ends up being in Kylo's room

during their fight Rey destroys Vader's helmet and Kylo goes nooo,
(Cant remember Kylo reacting other than that him realizing they are in the ship)

then Rey senses Chewbacca on the ship and cuts the force bond,
(This happens when the F.o arrive on Kijmi and she senses Chewie being alive on the ship which also means they have the dagger)

Kylo says to prepare his ship and get there. On the ship General Pryde is contacte by Sidious via hologram and tells him to blow up Kijimi to show his loyalty to him as Pryde worked for Sidious 30 years ago before the Empire fell.
(This is towards the end way later)

They do it though troops tell him supreme leader Ren is still there and he says it doesn't matter, Kylo leave Kijimi before it's blown up and he is very angry,

Rey and Finn and Poe are captured and put with Chewbacca in a cell.
(Rey is not captured as she is on her own, they capture Poe Chewie and Finn after they find and rescue Chewie. They are sent to be executed, there are 3 troopers and Hux, Hux says he wants to do it himself and one trooper gives him the gun, Hux then kills the troopers and reveals he is the spy. He tells them the way to Falcon and they thank him, Finns hoots him in his leg. because Hux wanted to look like he put up a fight to keep the facade. Finn asks why is he helping them and Hux says he would rather die than see Ren win. I think somewhere in here is 3PO hijinks where he carries all of their weapons including Chewies bow.

Rey meets up with Kylo in the hangar as he arrives and F.o surround them. They talks some gay stuff, Kylo gives ray his hand again. Falcon arrives and blows in to the hangar from the thrusters that blow everybody away except Kylo and Ren, Finn stands in the falcon enterance telling Rey to come and she does, they escape

They are freed by Hux who tells them he would rather die than see Ren win. Pryde finds Hux and kills him

There's a reason why the first two trilogies had 3 years in between films.

I think a lot of the critics realize the emperor has no clothes at this point. The last 2 years of fan reaction has proven that. They would lose tons of credibility if they just gave it a 90 plus RT score. They covered for TFA and TLJ but they cant just run cover indefinitely especially when the product is shit.
