Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Nah. Don't want to in any way connect this account to anything else I do online.

But that was all there was. it was like a five line exchange. I literally said, "I hope the movie is good for your sake," and she finished with "FUCK YOU BITCH." :story:

as you can see, you must be a pro at censoring accounts on forums to be a true star wars fan.

The weird obsessions in some fans regarding Boba Fett is easy to understand once you look into the history of the character. In George Lucas's eyes, Fett was just a throwaway character. He was kind of cool looking, but just one of the Bounty Hunters. But Kenner needed a character to use for the secret proof of purchase mail in offer on the action figures. So Lucas gave them Fett. And that's where things went wrong and a fandom was born. See back in 1978 we had Star Wars. It wasn't a Trilogy. It wasn't an IP. It was one single movie. And now it was gone, out of theaters, and it would be years before it would come to TV. Outside the horrid Holiday Special there was no more of this wonderful narcotic called Star Wars. Except the toys. And the toys were wonderful. And then we sent away for the secret action figure. He was a Bounty Hunter... from the NEW MOVIE! Getting Boba Fett in hand was the very first indication we had that there would or even could be more. He was so cool. He had a jetpack and a missile and really cool armor! And the stories we made up in our heads about how cool this character was going to be were like another whole movie unto themselves. To George Lucas Boba Fett was just an unimportant background character. But to those 11 year olds in 1978 he was the first tangible contact we had with the broader Star Wars Universe. So he became very very important to those kids. And some people never got over their Head Cannon. (Whereas some, like Jon Favereau and Dave Filoni clearly treasured their Boba Fett head cannon stories, evolved them, crafted them, and finally turned them into the Mandalorian. Well done guys!) And those conflicting Fett related Head Cannons led to pure concentrated fanboytism and fagotry wars. To the point where those not so mentally invested in the character hate whenever the speds bring him up.
Now that's the intriguing thing about Boba Fett for me. He was so cool and popular for just a background character, he damn near created the basis of the Mandalorian race and lore all by his lonesome by just standing around with a gun in his hand. Furthermore, just due to how it turned out, most (modern) Mandos are based on his look. All from a guy that was supposed to be just a toy. Boba's coolness factor, regardless of what folks think about it, is legendary.

It just goes to show how poorly thought out at all levels Disney's strategy really was.

Reminds me of that throwaway comment from Jason Isaacs about Star Trek fans complaining about Discovery. Something to the effect of, "Whatever, you know these fanboys will all watch and love it anyway despite the complaining."

I thought at the time the quote was completely taken out of context, but apparently Isaacs really thinks that way. And apparently so does Disney.

I am confused as to why the shills abandoned this film.
TFA and TLJ were terrible and they got scores in the 90s. Logic would suggest if the shills do not like this than TRS has to be
better than the previous two movies, right?
They hate the movie because it ret-cons and back-tracks much of what was established in The Last Jedi, a film they love unconditionally and completely.

And who wasn't even a real Mandalorian, according to Lucas. He's literally just pretending to be one.

I'm pretty sure Lucas said that because he hated the Mandalorian fans.

Last night I got a direct message from an asspained SW fan on a forum I frequent because I posted that the movie was going to be awful. ALL CAPS REPLIES! "FUCK YOU BITCH, I HAVE FOUR TICKETS AND I LOVE STAR WARS AND I'LL LOVE THIS YOU CAN'T STOP ME!" :story: :story: :story:

The best part? It was a grown woman. I bet she's in tears right now.
Its like with new Pokemon and people buying dual packs just to spite the haters.

My dad’s cousin recently saw the first two of the What If trilogy and saw IX at the premiere and he had this to say.

“What happened with why the Disney trilogy sucked is that the producers and filmmakers were trying to figure what the trilogy’s theme should be, throughout the trilogy itself.”

I hope the final episode of The Mandalorian season one is good, I felt the this season was a little too short, but hopefully it doesn't do a Game of thrones. And I can't wait for the rest of the series. Though I'm really concerned about the nu-trilogy connections.

Guess I'll be yeeting my Disney plus subscription in a month or two, especially if Disney doesn't get rid of Kathleen Kennedy by then.

You could send a stronger message by yeeting immediately after you watch the last episode.

The 2nd to last episode (tonight's one) was pretty damn good. I'm excited for the next episode, unlike this movie lol.

Really, I thought Pre Visla said that cause he despised and looked down on Jango in a sort of no true Scotsman attitude. I'm not even big into the Madalorian thing in star wars honestly. Though I love the show.

They've created a perfect storm. It's getting trash reviews for flipping off the TLJ loving anti-fans, and it'll get a million thumbs down from regular fans who hate the movie for what it was pushed into becoming thanks to TLJ, and hate it for what it did to the whole saga. Nobody is left happy.

Except the people left enjoying it all from the sidelines, that is.

Shits kind of a mess. Iirc CURRENTLY he is a mandalorian that doesn't practice the religion. In legends he became Mandalore, the one who leads the mandalorians during the vong war.

Compared to the ending of ROTJ, Fall of I mean Rise of Skywalker's ending seems so literally hollow. It's just Rey standing there with the pokemon version of R2 and the twin suns kind of resembling Lord Mickey's ears lol it's just so ridiculous. Two Disney OG characters just standing there like assholes and in ROTJ it really is a celebration of everything, everyone is there having their moments and sharing, everyone is important and contributed to the victory of the Rebel Allience but in Rise it's just this girl who stole another man's family legacy just because and defeated the man not even Luke could defeat, not even Vader nor Yoda could. It really is Kathleen Kennedy's fantasy.

I'm already bored with the Rise of Skywalker's destruction, as a way to truly end Star Wars for me I am reading Legacy and it was always the pinnacle of Star Wars comics for me, Rian Johnson probably read it cause Cade has those old virgin man "I hate the force" failure Luke themes but done better and have an actual reason for the character and the guy isn't a virgin, Krayt is a great antagonist with enough mystery at first but then the reveal is one I find satisfying. The world building is great when it comes to the reason of the war, there are many factions with different motivations and almost everyone has a lightsaber lol and I love that cause it's different oh and Luke, Anakin, the whole Skywalker bloodline is treated with the importance and respect it deserves. I truly recommend Star Wars Legacy.

I don't know much about the "Expanded Universe" (or "Legends"), but would the sequel trilogy have been better if it were based on it instead of going with the Di$ney decision to drop it entirely?

(of course there'd likely be woke pandering in it either way)

I mean, the EU had its share of stupid shit in it (inevitable with that much content), but most of the stories were competently plotted and told.

So yes.

The vong war would be more interesting. But it might lose the normie fans and be very difficult to fit in 9 hours.
