To be fair, he’s kind of a no-name actor. It makes sense that he would opt to cast as broad net as possible to make his name more prominent and eventually land himself better roles. Not saying that’s necessarily how it works, but that certainly is what conventional wisdom would dictate about getting an in to most industries.

TROS was probably mandatory anyways. It stands to reason that Disney would make the primary cast sign on for the full trilogy before they’re allowed to leave.
