In high school Steph seemed to be a normal teenager. We know that when she was 21 she was on DA grooming children. Didn't she make friends in college? It's sad that instead of having university sex and playing beer pong she was talking with pre teens on the internet.
nah she was a freak in high school too. maybe not as bad as she is today, and she certainly looked normal, but she wasn't all that innocent. she's made mastodon posts about how she'd write "KILL [bully's name]" repeatedly in notebooks until entire pages were filled up and mused about how she wasn't caught and expelled/arrested/institutionalized for it. she didn't know about sex until she was 16 and learned about it from yu-gi-oh fanfiction. she was OMG so traumatized over being called a faggot because she liked clay aiken. she was in sped classes and seemingly very proud of it. little weirdo was messed up from the beginning. she had no hope of getting white girl wasted and getting laid when she went to college.

The Clay Aiken "homophobic bullying" thing is hilarious because, by her own admission, nobody was calling HER gay -- they were just saying "ew, you like Clay Aiken? He's gay" to get a rise out of her and that offended her personally. It sounds like a precursor to how she flips out when people call MJ a pedophile.

She hasn't ever been what you'd call "normal." She was that kid in your class that everyone's known since kindergarten who has always been a little off, but not exceptional enough to be off limits for teasing when she acted weird. I do wonder what the fuck happened to make her veer into grooming children on DA, though -- that's still a pretty big detour.

She has mentioned her old college roommate vaguely in the past, but only to say "ask her if I can talk to ghosts, she knows it's true! She saw it!" Unsurprisingly, they don't seem to have kept in touch beyond FB after graduation.

What mobility assistance needs? Has she been complaining about her bum knee that long?

"Global motor delay." Apparently her muscles were too weak for her to walk up stairs properly or write so she had to go to an elementary school that was all on one level and get OT through sped. (Interesting: if you google that phrase you get a lot of results about how it's often comorbid with high-functioning autism.)

If anything, she's either a high functioning autist or has FAS. I bet on the second cause adopted. Though if she had any formal diagnosis she'd be throwing it around as an excuse for her being terrible at life so I imagine she didnt ever get one.

Not that it matters, she's retarded because she acts like it.

She would've had to be a behavioural mess to be in a sped classroom. Hence why I think she lies about it being because of some physical reason (which is bullshit anyway). Most high functioning autists never end up in sped.

She’s been consistent in saying that she was only in sped classes for the physical OT stuff, which I believe. Not all sped classes are behavioral or learning based. That being said, I know we throw around autism here, but Steph is one of the few cows I follow that I would bet money is genuinely high functioning autistic. I think her parents were unwillingly to have her diagnosed as a young kid because they didn’t want to see it.

You don't get put in self-contained (i.e. only SPED students) classes for physical disabilities because their curriculum is so different than regular ed. If she needed OT or PT, she would have been pulled out from a mainstream class a few times a week and met with the teacher after to make up any missed work (they try to pull out during art/gym/music so the kid isn't missing critical information, but sometimes that's not possible). In New York you're entitled to be as mainstreamed as possible, so the only kids in the all-SPED room are ones who have behavioral problems that prevent them from sitting in a regular classroom with a 1:1 paraprofessional or the ones who are disabled enough to warrant a completely different curriculum (i.e. kids with severe intellectual disabilities), meaning they probably didn't graduate until they were 21 and wouldn't be contenders for Masters' degrees. If she received SPED services in elementary school, it was probably extra help in core subjects, a paraprofessional to work with her individually, and PT/OT services.

Tl;dr: she's exaggerating her SPED-status, like everything else.

I believe this is why she claims she can’t sew or use MS paint and why her patches are illegible. Is this also why she thinks she’s a “spoonie”?

You don't wind up with a person like Steph when you have a regular-ass, normal kid with nothing wrong with them. Unless, of course, she suffered a stroke, or brain damage.
Oh she definitely received SPED services, but she wasn't in the SPED classroom. She strikes me as a FAS kid, like mentioned upthread. She wasn't impaired enough to be in the same room as kids who are disabled to the point of being nonverbal, though. She probably received services by being pulled out by the SPED teacher a few times a week or had a para with her in the classroom, and probably did get teased for it, but the kids in the self-contained classroom are bad enough that they're off-limits for mockery. Staph, bless her heart, has never been off-limits.

edit: spelling

Honestly, I'd be interested in what kind of sped classes she took. I know that autistic kids are often put in special classes, but in my (admittedly limited) experience with the educational board, they're REALLY hesitant to put non-autistic kids in those classes, or even provide much help other than pulling them out of class once a week to learn math or something. I'm not even joking, I'd love to find out about the sped classes she attended and compare it to other programs.

(And yes, I know a lot of folks here would argue that Steph's autistic, but as far as I know, she hasn't been diagnosed).

Steph has tried very hard to be diagnosed with autism. If she ever was, she'd likely be over the moon and lord her Official Autism over anyone unlucky enough to be in her vicinity for five seconds. However, even she admits when questioned on this that the most she can say is she was diagnosed with "autistic symptoms", which she has confirmed on Tumblr as well, and which are very likely self-reported. Furthermore, "autistic symptoms" is not and never will be a full-blown Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. Whatever the flying fuck is wrong with Steph, it isn't autism.
