I've just checked seating at a theatre somewhat close to me for a showing that's starting in a few minutes; 70% unsold on a discounted session in the middle of a heatwave where tons of people go to the mall for that sweet sweet industrial air conditioning. The after school showing is even worse with 80% unsold on the last school day at a theatre 5 minutes away from a high and middle school. One of the better showings is in the evening but still with plenty of available seats

In Japan, arguably the only major Asian market that actually likes Star Wars will also probably see a major decline. There was little interest in the trailer.
