He already flatly ignored a motion to compel, and the fact that MonRon flagrantly broke the TCRP with their discovery abuse. They were late, tried to hold interrogatories hostage behind a sudden rule 11 agreement, they previously flat out refused in front of Chupp, and filed constant non-answers, and general spurious objections. All which violate the rules, and case law.

ALl of it sanctionable, and Chupp just flat out ignored the motion from Ty.

Well don't forget that Chupp is running for the Place 7 judge of the Texas Second District Court of Appeals.
If the case is done before November 3 2020 and he decides to be lazy on that case then it will reflect badly on his resume.
I don't think that he can afford to be lazy on such a big case that could cost him his reputation and the seat that he is running for.
I may be optimistic but that seems to be a logical course of action.

The biggest problem being "Can Ty Subpeona outside discovery?" Ty doesn't really have any weight to his requests until the court grants that authority.

They can. If the person refuses I believe the court will see it as a failure on the defenses side and default to the plaintiff.

I might be wrong so a law kiwi could explain better.

As Drex Dex said in the reply, anything can happen. They all thought they would get heavily compensated back in Nov. and look what happened.

Monica and Jamie still have their accounts up because their accounts are tied to their jobs at Funimation. Also, deleting them would raise a lot of questions.

With the court's permission he certainly can, and all lawyers involved know this, so I'm assuming they judged it not worth the time and effort to motion for limited discovery or a subpoena on something particular. Probably the right choice since the problem with their case was the poor presentation, the deal with the notarization of the affidavits, and a lazy-ass judge, not anything involving discovery, MoRon's withholding of it notwithstanding.

Do we know approximately when he deactivated? Emmett Plant, Shane and Dominique have all been shouting at the top of their lungs for weeks now. They may have been trying to distract from Ron deactivating.

Ron might have become more deranged and went on Twitter rants that would be questionable under the best of circumstances.

Then again, maybe Nick's video about Wick Phillips taking a defamation case with (checks notes) less than one percent of Ron's volume underlined how fucked Ron is. Ron is realizing he is 100k in debt to a law firm that knew he was screwed and nothing has gone according to plan since the TCPA hearing.

Yeah, Ron got Vic fired and conventions to cancel him. But Vic's lines are still longer than Monica's. Conventions kept inviting Vic. There is a GoFundMe that just drives them up the wall.

Vic stays off Twitter so Ron can't call him out. Ron's legion of Twitter followers can't stop the lawsuit. Ron is impotent to stop what is happening.

I can see Ron being in a bad headspace.

Get woke go broke, it's clear that they wouldn't feel the burn and the pain until after they lose. Until then it's clear they will continue to spass around worse than a mood-swing because they don't know if they are winning or losing. Ron is so hellbent on winning this to cover up for his past when it's clear that he's exposed to the world as the wife beating little weasel that he is, it doesn't matter if he deletes his twitter or what not, the world knows and contrary behavior doesn't solve shit.

In the end it's only a matter of time of when Ron is gonna get punished hard, not if.

A thing I appreciate about this whole situation is that it's useful for seeing how civil litigation can play out. I ain't got that big dick legal energy like @AnOminous, but it seemed to me that there was clear evidence of some TI going on. Not a slam dunk of a case, but I expected things to run far more smoothly for Vic and his legal team.

His Instagram is still up though. So he's not really gone. I'm baffled that he kept his twitter long enough, but since every 700 defamatory tweets from January to April has been archived, if he done this when the whole thing started he would've not had a case against him.

Im not sure if its accurate but someone said Twitter only keeps data for 30 days. Appeals will take longer than that.
