Sam Fennah / FailSafe42 - Atheist furry who dropped out of college; sperged to Bionicle fans about God not existing #SAVEBOB

I knew he had a spergout over his characters being called DeviantArt styled after the infamous review, but I had no idea the autism went that far back. Part of me misses these kinds of artcows, where the hilarity comes from the constant spergouts at criticism in between comically bad writing and characters.

There's even the shitty fan film (that gets mocked by the fanbase) trope at play here.

I went through the Fennah Discord to see if I could dig up more information on Sam and....

I'm old enough that I distinctly remember them from when I was a kid/teen, but I thought that they were a flop and that nobody cared about them.
Actually, they're what helped to save Lego from teetering into bankruptcy alongside the Star Wars licence. At the time, they were revolutionary for the Lego brand- Action figures based on their pre-established Technic line of sets with a lore based on an ancient tribe. It spawned 4 dtv movies, some of the last Lego-based McDonalds tie ins and several (rather crappy) video games.

I'm legit amazed the fandom lasted as long as it did, in all seriousness as I stopped giving a shit about them in 2008-ish.

OH SHIT IT'S THE SATELLITE CITY GUY. I actually used to be pretty interested in his series until it went off the deep end in terms of edginess. The guy has talent for character design and modeling, it's just buried under layers of narcissism, characters so Sue and OP it's amazing they aren't meant to be parodies, and poor, unironically edgy writing.

I remember a worldbuilding post he had on YT that basically amounted to "these creatures reproduce by sadistically dismembering their mates, the resulting offspring then kills it's parent on the way out". They also frequently kill and eat eachother anyway. I asked how they could sustain their population with such infrequent and lethal reproduction (partners that actually like eachother usually never have kids). Never got an answer, so I assume his worldbuilding only went surface-level.

Bionicle sold a ridiculous number of units for 10 years. To say they were a flop is probably the furthest thing from the truth you could say. You can say they're stupid looking and gay, but they didn't flop.

Yeah I remember seeing something to that effect as I was archiving his website too (archive):
Once a pair was ready to produce young, they would perform the Quitule Ritual. This process required the more dominant of the creatures to incapacitate the other and contort their body into a Quitule display, the position simply came down to personal preference. Once in the position, the dominant would impregnate the other with its genes and leave the contorted creature as a catalyst to grow the young. Upon birth, the new born creature would devour the parent and most of its siblings, then its journey began.
...The remaining unborn Kivouachians would feed from the bodies remaining nutrients from the inside via three umbilical cords stemming from the stomach. Finally, the surviving youths would burst free from the body and into the world as a new born Kivouachian.
'World-building'!

Some more stuff while I'm posting:

Watching through the rest of that BioTubers video in the OP, I saw this scroll by in one of the screenshots (highlighted emphasis mine).

Assuming that 'Kingy 333' wasn't just talking shit, hopefully there's an archive or something of that Wikipedia page.

And archiving of more social media accounts and web stuff:

DeviantArt: https://www.deviantart.com/failsafe272
(archive + about archive. Plus 60 or so art posts in the Gallery, archived: here's the link to archive.li's root directory for them all. Also five status posts: 1 2 3 4 5)

Satellitelore: https://www.satellitelore.com/
(full (i.e. exhaustive from sitemap.xml) website archived: here's the archive.li root directory link.)

EDIT- Also, I found that 'Callout' post that was mentioned in the OP! The guy deleted the original, but luckily this chick reblogged it:

For the sake of completeness, here too is the link to the guy's 'Callout update' as posted in the OP:

Oh good, nightmare-fuel lore on birth. Just what my big-boy Lego's needed.

This man is every fanfic writing edgelord personified.

Oh thank god he has a thread, he's needed one for a long time. I started watching his series a year or two ago and thought they were pretty unique but eventually I couldn't handle his personality anymore.
Also his weird amputation/contortionist fetish that is "lore" in his universe somehow. But very obviously fetish shit.
edit:
example (he commissioned/requested some of these from his artist but still Important Lore!! he came up with in general. )

Looking at the abilities of these creatures every single one of them is over a powered Marry Sue, but it seems that Lucy is the most over powered for whatever reason.

And here's a character that caused both WW1 and WW2.

This whole wiki is great. When I first saw them I thought the creatures where faries or something and the show as about a guy that had to put up with them, especially when one is just Black Shuck. But no they have to super old, over powered, ultra violent, super original special characters. DO NOT STEAL! The only thing that puts this guy a bit above your regular Deviant Art OC trash is that his stuff is animated.

The reason is that Fennah's a furry and he wants to fuck his idealized Lovecraftian cat. I'm almost surprised that Doug Walker went along with Fennah's request of having Lucy spritzed throughout his review, let alone having the characters in "The Trial" parody repeatedly praise and reference the character.

I kept seeing that stuff pop up on his website too.

Also eww, why is the filename Please.webp on his website server?!

I'm not sure, but I think Doug and them might have approached Fennah first for that collaboration. Perhaps they saw this totally-aged-well tweet that Fennah made way back in May:

I must be stupid because I can't get past the homepage. I can see the words for things like characters highlight, but clicking does nothing.

I mean you can get a plush of his polka dot edgy cat fox. I'm sure he has a lot of them for... reasons.

Ah, no you're fine, that's how he's got it set up. (In the middle of a "Site Update!" according to the banner.)

Sam's unlinked all of the hyperlinks from the main page, but he hasn't actually removed the pages, so they still show up in the sitemap (that's what I was using for my archiving since it has everything. I think even that Lucy image I posted above isn't linked on her page anymore).

For convenience I'll put all the links here (you can navigate around the rest of the pages from them):

John_Henry_playing_Bionicle.jpg

2008 - In the T.V. show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, the captured Terminator being used as a puppet body for the infantile A.I. named John Henry has a scene where he is playing with some Bionicle childrens toys and goes into detail about some aspect of its lore for no reason. Before this, I'd never heard much Bionicle, and John Henry's short explanation of a piece of lore was more than I cared to know about the Bionicle universe, let alone that lore existed for it at all.
It has been over 10 years since that episode came out, and I'd forgotten completely about Bionicle until I saw this page. I am horrified and disgusted just imagining that there could be "fully grown" manchildren that unironically exist to sexualize it, become furfags for it, and/or obsess about its lore in great detail as if it weren't more than just a couple pieces of plastic made to entertain 6 year olds.
