It's just down to perspective and the people you grow up with. Apparently you grew up with incredibly well educated people who knew their stuff, a rare sight. I grew up with a Catholic education. We learned about abstinence and menstruation, TSS and how sex worked but never about UTIs, the clitoris and its extensions, and female self-pleasure. It was all about babies and dicks and change your tampon/pad every four hours.
