Sounds about right. I’d add some things:

-James Rolfe and Doug Walker were probably equals, but you could also say that James was always better and he was just waiting to kick it in to high gear, depending on when you think the peak of the AVGN was.

-Linkara as pride fits even now because I’d say that he’s really painted himself as the man of the little producers on Twitter. Although given he’s a chameleon, don’t be surprised if he fits other categories.

-I’m not entirely sure why Angry Joe fits as gluttony. Game and movie reviews seem normal for his channel (and even his movie reviews are movie and spoiler discussion. Par for the course for YouTube.)

-You could make a case for Obscurus Lupa being either envy or wrath. Envy for seeing Brad as her better in their “field” of reviews (Z-grade/WTF/so bad it’s good films) and wrath for constantly seething at Doug and Brad and wishing for them to go bust and quit the internet and lose everything they’ve worked for in the name of karma. Doug for the role she feels he played in #ChangeTheChannel and Brad for sticking with Doug in Channel Awesome instead of letting CA go a few more percentage points closer to 100.00% destroyed .

Joe was really the only one I was more on an off on. There was a video JARmedia did on Joe to see if his content was still good. They brought up just he's trying to do waaaaay too much shit with his current thumbnails, presentations, fitting in unneeded skits, and just really over indulging the viewer when they really want the everyman review of his old style. The fact he also put more emphasis on movies (which fans called him out on for not wanting since they just want gamereviws) he got all prissy and a lot of people unsubbed since they weren't getting what they wanted.

I really only knew her through Phelous so it was hard to get a proper read on her during the time, but that's the vibe I got from Phelous about it through CTC. She really wanted to take them down bad is what it all seemed like. I saw the ripple effect through Marzgurl but never checked in Lupa herself.

It's just incredible Doug in his time was able to round up a motley herd of cows, who's portfolios are all over the place.

You know after looking through some of the other TGWTG lolcows (main threads or not) after so long I feel like you can pretty much label 7 of them as the Seven Deadly Sins. I'm not fully versed in the details of all them so if my connections are not the best feel free to quote me on it.

Doug: Envy for his lack of comedy and wanting to be a successful comedian, but fails horribly. Meanwhile James (who was seen as his equal for a while) has made leaps and bounds over him

Spoony: Sloth for his current trend of barely making any content and expecting people to pay for his all of shit through patreon.

JewWario: Lust for being a grooming pedophile, trying to keep his secrets under the rug for years.

Linkara: Pride for his entire reign as the Lightbringer and still holds his ego up way to high even today

Tony: Wrath for sperging like an autistic manchild over everything and constantly CAPS LOCKING in his twitter dms for emphasis on him yelling.

Angry Joe: Gluttony because the dude just can't help himself over shit. Constantly double dipping in game reviews and movie reviews when he can't even get either one right now.

and lastly Mike Michaud for Greed because of his entire wrangling of the NC and CA as a whole, especially with CTC showing his stuff in the open.

I only posted these guys because they're the ones I've looked over, though I do know Lindsey is just a SJW sperg and Lupa has just gone downhill her hateboner for CA.

I wonder if the Nostalgia Critic has any sort of plan B because I doubt he can efficiently push a few more years out of his content. Also his big mistake was bloating up the franchise with his army of nobodies who were only liabilities in the end. I remember when he had his period of random crossover with his army of nobodies with the overtly long gags. That was the worse.

I can see that...but another CTC claim was that it wasn’t soundproofed properly so they’re forced to do it in the front part or the office parts/break room

I think that actually was what happened because iirc, Linkara said Mike would have just watched over everything, and he eventually found a studio in Minnesota for his project that wouldn’t be on him as much.

They were able to do Channel Awesome related videos but the cost of the extra insurance would make renting the place out would end up costing more than letting it sit unused.

Also the place was an acoustic nightmare so anyone looking for a good studio would skip over that place and find a legitimate sound stage.

I agree on that the main reason they didnt just rent the place was about mainly control but taking on owning your own turf I will reference the bit on The Disastrous Artis when Wisseau brought two cameras instead of renting them. I will venture a guess and say that either the Walkers brought a place that wasnt intented to be a studio and wanted to force it or got scammed and were afraid of backlash. If you are going to produce content to be in a studio/theather, just ask for it. Schools might lend you a hand on the low season and you dont risk as much as getting to downtown to be scammed.
On one hand I can understand why they didnt bother with the soundproofing. The place is huge so is very expensive. One very easy solution for soundproofing is using the egg boxes but it looks cheaper than foam.
All in all they were making a statement with the ownership of the studio. They were legit filmmakers and they were serious bussiness.
