Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

It's a wonder how a number of these people are still employed; despite ample examples of how incompetent they are at the jobs they've been tasked with (Brent, Allie, etc).

NotBlarg on Rantgrumps recently shared a list of all the employees the Grumps had (most currently, with only a handful having either been fired or moved on to better pastures). In total, at most, the Grumps had 50 employees.

I realize we keep harping on it, but that list is astronomical.

Thirteen people doing merch? How much would you need to sell to justify thirteen fucking people working (presumably) full time? I can't even check how much merch they have available because they, for some reason, closed the merch page due to Christmas Vacation, but you would need to sell a fuckton of merch to justify having a full staff for it and there's frankly no way that GameGrumps does.

I pulled an archive, all they've got are some shirts, posters, prints, pins, and stickers; nothing that would even partially justify having a merch staff so large. They've only got like ~30 items in total to sell, not several hundred or thousand.

Holy fuck Arin, fire some people.

Don't forget they unironically made body pillows for, not just their tacky anime girl versions of Game Grumps but, Dan and Arin themselves

For comparison, Linus Tech Tips, as terrible as that channel is, is significantly larger than game grumps and has only two people working on their significantly larger merch store that likely sells better

Game Grumps are gonna be in that game House Party. (archive)

At that point, it's sounding more like a Cool Kids Club and not a business. A club that they can afford to have given how much merch fans buy and live shows they attend right now. (And would be the only reason some member are still there despite having a scroll-length of fuckups.)

I predict fat will be trimmed when (not if, WHEN) the YouTube paypig bubble bursts and they would have to actually put it effort again. Or take the money and run.

Can only theorize, but something tells me Arin isn't the kind of guy who fires people; and even if it comes down to a "We have to go our separate ways," (like John "1488" Jafari) I bet he does everything he can to not have it come out as him dropping the hammer. I was never a SA goon, but something I learned from Rich's recent drama is how one of the women who was in his life says he hates confrontation; if anything requires a decision, he'd sooner roll over than take a stand. Since he seems to surround himself with friends (never do business with friends), he doesn't want to come off as a dick; so put those two things together and you have a massively overstaffed YouTube channel with countless merchandisers, and a CEO (because that's what he is, whether he wants to admit it or not) who doesn't want to make those hard CEO decisions.

Then he should hire someone who can do it for him (it would be one of the smartest decisions he's ever made).

Even if you know the context behind the grumps playing house party, it’s still really weird. I don’t understand why this is just being reported on now.

Unless the Grumps worked out a deal with the game developers; the Grumps would only get 1k in prize money for 'winning' the spot reserved for what was supposed ot be a single male winner (as per the contest rules).

Why do people always delete tweets that criticise Arin or Game Grumps as a whole??? All that does is grant him immunity to criticism. Does my head in

Arin has a large fanbase of horny, ultra-sensative preteen girls who see him as a saint and they firmly believe anyone who says anything less than positive about him need to be silenced. I wouldn't want to deal with that either.

Same reason aspiring artists, streamers, and animators don't criticize big cartoon companies or popular media stars (At least not online). They want in. And you don't get in by smack-talking them. that's how you get quietly (or loudly) blacklisted. And Arin is in with A LOT of people in the online media industry, for better or for worse. Kissing his ass won't guarentee an in, but it certainly would get you close enough.

It's either that or they're a bunch of attention-thirsting pussies who put their thought out there for SOMEBODY to see and delete it soon enough before they can get "cancelled" over it.

It's all so tiring. 🚬

Probably because they fear/don't want to deal with copious amounts of tweets from angry Grumps fans whiteknighting for their golden boy. (and who could blame them - seeing as Arin either pretends his fans aren't attacking critics or - even worse - supports it by remaining silent).

While I agree he needs a professional handler/tard wrangler/manager; something tells me it wouldn't work as intended. Because even though I just said I see him as wanting to be a cool guy and not be confrontational; I don't see him hiring someone whose sole job is to tell him "no." And if he did, there'd be plenty of closed door meetings with them and saying why he won't be doing that; and also he owns the channel so he makes the decisions. Only thing I can theorize to back this up is why Brent doesn't seem to have a handle on anything; he's supposed to have some semblance of control, but nothing gets done in a timely or efficient manner, and keeps his job despite all the fuck ups.

I mean, I'd say it's just because the fandom's buttfuck insane and full of mentally deranged and actually unwell and/or stupid people more than teen girls, but it could also be a combination of both.

I mean, what other fandom can you think of that justifies their company hurting people as an inevitability because "Arin works so hard uwu"?

EDIT: I would’ve also said it’s because they have a huge fanbase of kids as well, but I don’t know of many kids that would willfully and knowingly dox other users or flood a contest to feature their idols in a softcore porn game.
