Containment Random Chris Updates

Is it a symptom of his laziness or neural disorders that he can't come up with an original character/creature?

Like, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the CwC-verse is populated entirely of either Sonic/Pokemon/MLP/anime etc., or based on people Chris knows IRL. As long as Chris has been doing this, you would think that by random probability he would at some point create some something original purely by chance, yet it seems like his entire alternate universe is just stolen from somebody else.
I seriously wonder if there are neurons misfiring that are preventing him from being legit original?

People on the spectrum are obsessed with familiarity. Sonic/Pokemon/MLP are his major fictional escapes, and the fact that all three franchises have active roleplaying communities loaded with thousands of OCs helps reinforce his delusions. Plenty of other people have alternate universes for their favorite characters and can interact with other spergs based off a mutual interest in the same shitty cartoons. If Chris’s content was more esoteric then he wouldn’t have had much of an audience to begin with since most of the people who discovered him were Pokemon and Sonic fanboys themselves.

Also I find it pretty funny how Kengle actually tried to rewrite Sonichu into an original concept and ended up just making a horrifying eldritch abomination.

Interesting... I figured the "fixation" that some people on the spectrum get could be translated into original works but that makes sense.

On that subject and at risk of thread derailment do you know of any cows that came up with their own original worlds/canons/lore?

Looking at that tweet makes me regret ever liking sonic the hedgehog as a kid.
Finding out who Chris is made me regret ever liking anything he did, Sonic transformers Pokemon. Hell I've never considered myself a brony but I actually kinda liked the show back in 2010 if only because of how awful cartoons of the 2000s had been but as soon as the :neckbeard:got a hold of it I backed away and never looked back. It's not just Chris either it feels like I can't get into anything anymore because chances are it has a fan base of idiots, weirdos, pervs or worse sjws backing it up... thought if something appeals to that last one it was probably never good to begin with

What @Argh My Cigar said but there’s specific reasons why autistic people like certain shows, there’s an old study which explains why Thomas the Tank Engine is popular with young kids on the spectrum and you can take those things and apply it to pretty much every show popular with autistic people, but ESPECIALLY Sonic The Hedgehog:
Millions of children around the world love Thomas the Tank Engine. Parents everywhere have watched their children learn, grow and have fun with this cheeky little blue engine.

For many children with autistic spectrum disorders, Thomas plays an even more important role. A 2002 study by the National Autistic Society in the UK shows that Thomas the Tank Engine helps break through the barriers of many children with autism and Asperger syndrome.

Parents of children with ASD have known for years that Thomas and his friends have special value to their children. The report confirms this anecdotal evidence, stating that children with ASD associate far more strongly with Thomas the Tank Engine than with other children's characters. Some parents of children with ASD have reported leaps of emotion, imagination and symbolic play that were unimaginable before the child's relationship with Thomas.

Why Thomas the Tank Engine?

Children with ASD seem to be particularly fascinated with Thomas. A number of reasons have been proposed to explain this special relationship.
  • Children with autism are often attracted to objects arranged in lines (like cars on a train), as well as spinning objects and wheels.
  • Thomas and his friends have bold, easily-to-recognize colors.
  • Thomas and the other characters have friendly faces, often with exaggerated expressions. In the videos, the expressions are set for some time and are often accompanied by simple narration explaining the emotion ("Thomas was sad."), allowing children to identify the feelings and expressions.
  • The narration of the videos is calm and clear, and changes are 'signposted' clearly.
  • The stories are relatively short (less than five minutes) and easy to follow. Things that go wrong are usually resolved by the end of the episode.
  • The unique stop-action photography of the videos allows the background and scenery to remain still, allowing for greater focus on the "big picture" with less distraction.
  • The characters play predictable roles.
  • Children with ASD often have the need to identify, list, collect and create lines with favorite objects. Thomas is especially suitable for these activities.
Thomas is a True-Blue Friend

Many children with ASD have a hard time making and maintaining friendships. Thomas and the other characters can serve as substitute friends in a world with few friends.

Parents of children with autism and related disorders often mention that their children find Thomas calming and comforting, rather like a 'security blanket'. Children often like to have their trains with them at all times. The sound of the videos playing in the background can have a comforting effect while the child is engaged in other activities. This is especially important for children with ASD, where the world is often frightening beyond their understanding.

Learning with Thomas

Thomas often serves as a 'gateway to learning' for children with ASD. The interest in Thomas provides children with the motivation and interest to try new things. For example, a child who is not otherwise interested in the computer will eagerly learn computer skills when introduced to a Thomas game.

Thomas also often plays an important role in learning color recognition, numbers and language skills. Because language is such an obstacle for many children with ASD, Thomas' influence on these skills is especially beneficial.

Parents report children echoing entire chunks of Thomas videos. (This use of language, called echolalia, is common in children with autism.) Over time, many children move to using Thomas language in real-life situations. Parents have reported great success in using Thomas language with their children, such as "Stop, the signal is up," or "Apply the brakes".

Emotional and Social Development

In the videos, Thomas and the other characters have exaggerated facial expressions, which are often set for a relatively long period of time. This allows the child with ASD to relate to the emotions, expressions and feelings of the characters. This is especially valuable for children who have difficulty understanding people and their thoughts and feelings. You can see some examples of Thomas' facial expressions on our Many Faces of Thomas page.

Another thing not mentioned is facial blindness seems very common on the spectrum which is why I think colour coordinated characters are popular with autistic people, be it pony‘s being different colours or just having different coloured outfits like with TMNT or Power Rangers.

And anime, which is famous for its exaggerated, easy to understand emotions is very popular with people on the spectrum.

As for why autistic people often don’t have original characters it might have to do with the part about autistic people treating certain characters like substitute friends.

tbh I’ve known people that may or may not have been on the spectrum who ended up turning an unhealthy fixation with TTTE into a genuine interest in locomotives and engineering.

Plus the show actually teaches these kids a valuable lesson— be really fucking useful or some obese rail magnate will smelt your ass.

Something else to keep in mind is that Sonic, Pokémon, Sailor Moon, and MLP sort of represent phases of his life and the happiest times of those phases. In a way he’s always treated certain characters he admires as personifications of a concept itself. Sonic is edgy, cool, and youthful; all things Chris aspired to be to some extent in his youth. Ash Ketchum is a guy down on his luck sometimes but he’s going out to see the world and makes friends without his parents being overbearing and collects a bunch of animals that look interesting, Optimus Prime is a symbol of masculinity in the face of so many people calling attention to some of his effeminate traits. You get the idea. Precisely because he associates so much with popular media and characters, is why he tries to emulate them the way we may try to emulate a Rock Star or an Athlete growing up, Chris never cared about those things and cared more about cartoons

Like here’s a great example. Growing up I got out of cartoons except like a handful of anime by the time I was 10 and knew very well those characters were just that - characters with no basis in reality and while I might still watch Dragon Ball or Trigun for nostalgia and quick entertainment, for the most part I don’t watch anime. In fact despite my avatar choice I don’t think I’ve watched X-Files in about 2 years. I started getting more into music and Soccer. The people I emulated in my adolescence and teens would have been 90s Grunge musicians and 80s Punk musicians or Soccer players (because I have always preferred those eras of music and grew up around a lot of foreigners) while Chris was still emulating Ash Ketchum and cartoon characters. Now when I got a little older I quit trying to emulate them so much. I became more interested in other things like history and linguistics and philosophy but I still did keep my love for Music and Soccer, I’m just not letting it effect too much of my worldview or fashion choices quite as much. Chris kind of started to do that himself with being a tomgirl but his isolation and autism ultimately led him to go back to what he knew for decades... cartoons.

Now that hero worship and totemism he sort of assigns to these characters. It’s manifest as an actual religion and completely taken over his life.

Can we get a sockness emoji? 🤔

While I understand you not being into cartoons or even anime much anymore there's nothing wrong with liking those things in principle. It's when you become so Autistic and isolated the way Chris has that entertainment and media becomes the sole focus in life. And even then when people become so consumed by consumerism that they're entire life revolves around it even they usually don't let the hero worship and consumerism turn into a new faith and worship the way Chris' has.

And of course there's Roger Rabbit, chris's stunted brain latched onto that movie pretty hard and refused to let go. That movie showed not only humans and toons existing in the same world but toons from different production companies all existing together.

I'd also bet Chris has been exposed to the weird ass lore of the Final Fantasy House. That seems right up his alley.

honestly I think Roger Rabit was a bigger influence on him than even he realizes. But I think that also comes from the American Rabbit and he made connections in his mind related to that.

The real question is how big does the Chris's "horsefuckers the gathering" game, have to get before he gets an actual in person service subpoena for civil action? I'm kinda wondering on this one as it appears they paid the child porn actor Desmond to endorse the game.

He'll probably be dead before that. There is no way he'll live long enough for it to become 'significant', when he's living in the squalor of 14BC.

I'm not an attorney but, I do drink a lot and I'm half jew so I'm kinda like one. Well that, and I worked as a paralegal, my understanding of intellectual property law for massive corporate entities is basically "the squeaky wheel gets the grease". Large parties making money with the least regard for IP such as a business called "MICKEY MOUSE'S DINER" get special attention from the legal dept. The vast majority of "light offenders" such as Chris typically it starts off with the same nasty "cease and desist" letter from the legal dept, sent to tens of thousands of suspected offenders. THE DUMB PEOPLE respond and create a track record of receiving service, making it so the legal dept now can easily prove they got it, and they have no excuse of ignorance they were stealing IP beginning the date of response and if so; willingly chose to continue. The smart people evaluate the situation and quietly and if necessary distance themselves from the IP like changing the name of the characters/artwork on the place of business etc. About the dumbest thing you can do is reply "get fuckt", and sign your name. If Chris got a cease and desist he probably threw it in the hoard, I bet anyone here $1,000,000 USD at least one troll if not a dozen have sent fake cease and desist letters with Sega/Nintendo letterhead to Chris and we've heard nothing of it. Even @Null questioned his personal federal subpoena, whether it was legit or a forgery

TL;DR : Chris probably already got a cease and desist and threw it in the hoard without responding. The legal entities have bigger fish to fry than Chris, they go after Bigger and more responsive targets. The real question is how big does the Chris's "horsefuckers the gathering" game, have to get before he gets an actual in person service subpoena for civil action? I‘d say if it becomes clear Chris is regularly selling enough that it could be considered a success/profitable (Which realistically won‘t happen) or if Chris tries to fundraise on a site like Kickstarter or Indiegogo then he might get a cease and desist.

Basically a scenario where Hasbro feels compelled to defend their intellectual property against a legitimate commercial product.

he’ll be all right if he uses Indiegogo. If Jeff Hick’s Stealing Solo flew under the radar than so will Sonichu.

let's think about the the sheer math of this. Chris has cleary stolen the IP of at least 5 different entities, chris has a thousand people willing to "stir the pot" make a phone call/write a letter to hasbro etc. When I go to Vegas I count cards and when I discuss chris I count wheens. It's not like I win a free car if it's there but, in the hoard/trash there's at least a couple C&D letters, and probably dozen fake ones.
Are you retarded? No one cares.

Chris stealing IP accounts? When did that happen? I know he doxed a few people when they bought his shit, but I don't remember that.
