Why do Tumblr SJWs always seem to think they can decide who reblogs or edits a post that they've made public?

Honor system, man. They assume every single person on Tumblr will respect their wishes even when they put all this shit out on a public website where posts can be edited. Some will. A lot couldn't care less.

I'm convinced a lot of these people have very little internet experience outside of Tumblr.

http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/us/definition/american_english/consent
Permission for something to happen or agreement to do something:no change may be made without the consent of all the partners

http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/consent
to agree to do or allow something : to give permission for something to happen or be done

Then again what does the dictionary know, it is only a book of the commonly accepted meanings of english words.

What is xir definition of "consent"?

I guess they might have had Facebook or they fucked around on Neopets.

Shit, man, I don't know.
Honestly, it's never failed to shock me how old people can get without developing the slightest ability to tolerate discomfort. You see people on Tumblr in their early to mid 20's who can't go 2 days without "literally shaking" from some perceived slight. Anyone with self-awareness would brush it off and move on, but not them. No, if they ignore some insignificant slip, the bad guys win!
I really do believe they just seek out things to "trigger" them. It's the most logical explanation for trying to control every aspect of who reblogs this, or who says that. I think they seek trauma to validate their victimhood.

My hypothesis is along the same lines, they are late 90's and 00's kid's who where spoon fed "Your special" an had well meaning if slightly idiotic parents who never said NO and shielded them from the real world. Now they are starting to branch out of there own little managed reality they are finding the world isn't going to cater to them and not every one is going to give a care about there feeling's. So they retreat to the hugbox as that's what's always worked for them in the past in a effort to not deal with the uncomfortable an often harsh world they are now finding themselves in.

The sad part is alot of the people who find themselfs in the hugbox are not bad people some of them are just emotionally vulnerable teen's, who will grow out of it and I am guessing will look back an cringe at what they have said in due time. Others though are that wrapped up in it they will never address there own shortcomings or have a evolving personality outside of what label they feel fit's them or is trendy amongst there piers.
They never want to get out or see a need to as that would mean addressing the very real fact that they are not special or perfect in every way and as long as they have places where palm meets posterior an the hug's are bountiful they'll never get the motivation to do so and they are the most deranged ones.

Maybe. I'm not much that older than them and experienced plenty of the "you're special" type of treatment over the years. I've been the sensitive kid who's dealt with plenty of emotional abuse and was more than a bit sore over it. But I also started using the internet while it was still dominated by snark websites filled with lavish descriptions of just how shit some obscure 80's horror movie was, and purposely offensive Flash cartoons and sprite comics. I remember stumbling upon Ogrish and Rotten.com. Being a teenager on the internet in the 2000's was a different experience than being one in the 2010's is. These kids ain't never been goatse'd. You don't stumble across web pages put up by crazy people like you used to. Now you come across a crazy person's Tumblr and you have to not say anything for fear of being ableist.

Everything's gotten softer. People on the internet have gotten more sensitive, which is a mixed blessing. Kids don't listen to nu metal to shock their parents (thank God), they listen to... indie folk rock, I guess.

Maybe I'm getting old after all, who even knows?

I feel that Meowth, as I said before I have been online since 99.

And your right the internet has gotten a lot softer but I think it's because of the demographic that's using it now has shifted. It was once the realm of people perceived as geek's, a lot of people had a computer at home that was connected to the net but used it for a few specific thing's such as shopping and email. But now every one an there dog is online so the internet in general has become more like the society in which it dwells and that is a good thing for the most part more people means more diversity and the whole additional wealth of knowledge an opinions that brings and I am less likely to come across a link to a shock site masquerading as something I am looking for.

The problem is of there being a more diverse group on the internet is, the GIFT theory. I am all for people using the net for anonymous self expression an exploration but there is a whole generation that the line between the reality of the real world and the internet has become blurred, an that's when it stops being a good thing.

However this is very close to thread derailment, maybe we should split this off into another topic?

who knows this tard might deserve one. either that or an all expense paid trip to the nearest pillow factory to suit himself up for cutting me with all that edge.

I don't know if that's a legit tumblr post (I really, really want to doubt it :(), but I've always heard that one of the earliest signs of a person being a serial killer is said killer torturing and killing small animals.... :heart-empty:
