It's fucking hard to get pain pills if you're under like 40. I had my whole large intestine removed last year and was prescribed weaker pain meds than my dad who had recently had a wart removed.

My guess is that they want to be seen as not-[their natal sex]. That's why non-binaries are a thing, IMO. It's not about becoming another gender, it's about escaping from a reality that makes you uncomfortable.
