They had actually planned to make a sequel, but I believe it was due to cost of renewing the license + the shift into new gaming styles that caused Radical to push the idea away. They made a Hulk game right after (Think it was Hulk: Ultimate Destruction) but would later get bought by Activi$ion and made Prototype 1&2 before being canned.Does The Simpsons: Hit & Run count? Because it's criminal that it never got a sequel.
Sure, that 2007 game was ok, but that doesn't hold a candle to Hit & Run.

They are working on 5!
And if certain youtuber who got to play some sort of development build at Volition is to be believed the game looks to be at least better than GooH.
Also there is going to be a patch for 2 and possibly, maybe mod support, so Im hyped.
As for dead game series Ill say Silent Hill as Konami seems to really despise it. One look into the development of HD collection is all it takes. Not to mention Pachinko.
You and me both man. Only problem is Gearbox is sitting on the series and is doing absolutely fucking nothing with it besides put Duke as a cameo in other games like Bulletstorm. It's fucking bullshit because we just have to pray Pitchford gets his head out of his ass long enough for something to materialize, and Pitchford's head is rammed 5 feet into his asshole.Duke Nukem 3D was and still is one of the best action games I've ever played, and I refuse to accept that there will be no new Duke games. Hell, I even liked some of the spin offs, Zero Hour and Manhattan project were fun, not perfect but enjoyable enough.
If there was another Fatal Fury installment right now, I'd quit Street Fighter forever. Fatal Fury and Real Bout were the absolute shit to play, and they were fucking smooth like hot butter. You didn't need to learn about no fucking hit confirms or frame traps or cheaping out the mechanics, the game was science in motion and natural to control and pick up and play. There was the right amount of character target combos for every character to pull off, the ability to cancel out into special moves during these combos, the lane system, full on arena interaction, and man, I can't even cover the presentation, the graphics, the music, all of that energy.... It makes Street Fighter IV and V feel like cheap ass plastic and paper toys you could get at the dollar store with a higher price tag.Fatal Fury. Goddamnit, I refuse to believe there will never be another one!

Also Timesplitters NEEDS a good remake already, cmon THQ Nordic, get on that shit already.
I'd mention Saints Row here, but apparently that's not dead anymore, so never mind.
I heard it was a rights thing between Gearbox and 3D Realms, you know, the people that actually poured their blood, sweat, and tears into the game that was never finished. 3D Realms didn't like the idea of not getting any money off their own work and Randy being Randy didn't compromise on that.Pitchford said he was going to release the "original" Duke Nukem Forever at one point (the 90% complete one that ran on the old engine), but never did. Guess it got shitcanned because there was a non-zero chance it would have been received better than the DNF we got.

The whole thing has become a rights nightmare and it sucks because it feels as though it could be easily solved but Randy Pitchford's too stubborn to play ball.
Divine Divinity (the original game) is a solid game and I would recommend checking it out if you like RPGs. Played through it fairly recently and don't remember running into any issues other than accidentally breaking a couple of side quests. Doesn't really matter and easily avoided with a FAQ.I've played DOS2 but apparently the older Divinity games are all broken in the worst way and are apparently frustrating and tedious to play. I'm hesitant to get into them but there's not a whole lot of RPGs coming out in the near future.
Might and Magic also doesn't have enough towers and collectibles for Ubi to consider it viable. Both EA and Ubisoft hold Ultima and Might and Magic hostage and Elder Scrolls is the only old school RPG series that still puts out titles. They don't want to make a new one in either case, EA doesn't want Ultima to compete with Dragon Age and other Bioware garbage and Ubi feels that Might and Magic is too complex for today's audience to buy.
And if it's not held by EA or Ubi, Beamdog buys up all the other older CRPGs and then ruins them by adding modern day reference bullshit or whatever flavor of the month outrage they see on social media as NPC dialog. You can't even buy the original Planescape Torment anymore digitally and you have to buy THE ENHANCED version.
Also The Longest Journey shot itself in the foot by having the Episodic sequel be nothing but political rants in between half finished puzzles.

I'm still sort of pissed that people who weren't familiar with the core series (and ergo, the sci-fi aspect of MM) sent so much hate mail over HoMM III's planned forge town that NWC scrapped the town. Orcs with rocket launchers! Rocket launchers!I frequented some Might and magic board years ago, when an old programmer for VI - Mandate of Heaven announced a sequel for just this masterpiece in the series, in the same vein, slightly better graphics (but still with that 1996 feel). Then he vanished. Maybe a troll, but i still hope![]()
I want Bloody Roar back even if Furries will do unspeakable things to it.
