Bigot Brigade Something Awful and Friends - The roller-coaster train-wreck embarrassing downfall of a Web 1.0 giant and its tick offspring like from Cloverfield

In the TGRS thread:

Imagine my shock.

I just registered to say some people are posting screenshots where the quote is in yellow. This only happens when someone quotes your own post. I wanted to send a PM to people but I cant find the option but I wouldn't want anyone to eat a ban over someone making the connection.

I got to say I was perma'd before this bullshit started and watching Lowtax's life and website burn has been a nice holiday gift
definitely don't use inspect element to turn quotes yellow in order to set someone up

This sounds pretty illegal (and no way to run a business or handle personal information), and I can't believe someone actually wrote this. Any kiwi lawyers want to chime in?

Obviously, Stalin would approve.

Just having credit card information isn't necessarily illegal but there's something called PCI (Payment Card Industry) standards that can get you kicked off being able to process cards if you do shit like violate customer privacy. I'm pretty sure outing them and retaliating against them for buying shit that you yourself are selling would justify reporting the cunts to whatever authority you report them to. Maybe they can be kicked off their payment processors.

Also I'm not saying it's actually even legal to do that, I just don't know any particular reason it would be explicitly illegal.

The pro wrestling subforum's troon thread weighs in on the Lowtax controversy.

(Yes, even the SA wrestling forum has their own troon thread.)

years ago, i used to think that goon types ruined anything they touched. many times i have seen one or two smugposting try-very-hard to show how much they don't care at all ironygoons totally wreck a forum. they usually form little cults of personality and then just spend their time driving everyone else away.

if you had told me that goons would invent a way to spread into literally everything while also being orders of magnitude more insufferable, and they would do it by chopping their dicks off or crossdressing, i would have laughed in your face.

violating PCI standards should mean a fast road to the high risk payment processor ghetto but as recently as 2018 no one really inter-reported on this. you need to be called raciss by the adl for the industry at large to dump you.

Doesn't matter because they already have code implemented years ago that attaches a unique id, and when you take screenshots it includes a unique watermark that is associated with the registered account, it was put in to curb the mod/admin forum leaking way back.

Doesn't matter if you use an extension on your browser etc the screenshot will still have the watermark if you are logged in when taking the screenshot.

it's kind of like the transparent watermarks they have for printers/camera's etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_Identification_Code

So let me get this straight.

They claim that radium's code prevents changes to the forum, meanwhile they can implement that.

Somehow I doubt this terribly.
