-The artist makes a comic where they say it's funny that someone was robbed and that anyone who disagrees is a bad person
-The internet takes it and turns a minor character from it into a wholesome meme
-The artist and friends freak out and claims it's transphobia, despite no one knowing the author was trans
-The author locks their Twitter account instead of embracing the love for one of their characters

Usually when an SJW gets rightfully deserved backlash there's SOMETHING they can grasp onto and claim it's oppression, but they're 100% in the wrong.

If anything Oney just gave Jess a ton of exposure she wouldn't have received otherwise. Like it was FREE FUCKING ADVERTISING and Jess could have done so much with it. Hell just associating and goofing around with Oney would have made her a big blip on the art radar. He didn't even say a single bad thing about Jess, just expressed some disappointment with the comic's subject matter. I thought artists wanted exposure, good or bad, it gets their shit out there in public view!

The problem with Jess and their fans shouting "transphobes" is the fact that none of these comics are even commenting on the fact they're trans. They're mocking the fact it's a comic that boils down to "I love when people I don't like on the internet get robbed, also ugh gamers". To add to that, there's the fact that their stand in looks like the stereotypical dangerhair yelling at her coworkers for disagreeing with her in a very heavy handed and sarcastic manner.

It's the comic version of when idiots film themselves being spastics in public, then cry about it when the comment section is mocking them. They're not going to relate to you, they're relating to the poor retail worker you yelled at over minuscule shit. Being trans has nothing to do with this. It's also the same idea behind the loss memes or similar exploitable comic edits. They're mocking the comic instead of the author's gender.
