Being in the bounty program does not guarantee you bounties.
They are 100% paid adds and if you don't have the desired viewers or reach you not gonna get anything unless it's from big companies that just throw their add budget to whoever.
Also there is a chance you don't get paid if you don't hit the average viewers goal.

His ego would also take a major hit knowing he got 250$ for something that a more popular streamer got thousands doing.

I've heard Dark call someone Shlomo in the past and both times conveyed to me that he didn't understand what he was saying. I think he thinks it's interchangeable with "slowmo" and was trying to insult someone's reflexes or skills in game.

Just another example of Dark using words that he doesn't understand to sound like... he knows more words... I don't know.

I suspect most of Phil's "antisemitism" is him just parroting dumb shit he sees on TV and the internet and the like. He doesn't actually understand it.

His hatred of blacks, though, I think is genuine and it probably stems from being bullied by them in the FGC (and Tevin)

E: To be clear, I don't have any evidence that he was bullied by black dudes in the FGC, but there's no way he wasn't bullied and there's more black people in the FGC than any other video game genre, so

I've always been puzzled as to why the fuck Phil has an Instagram account.
Almost nothing he posts is related to his streaming/gaming, so it's not as if posting on there is going to grow his following. And even if he did post related stuff it still wouldn't matter, because he doesn't hashtag anything, so the only people that are going to see his posts are the people already following him.
Everything on there is so dreadfully mundane that I can't imagine anyone genuinely finding anything he posts interesting.
Even more puzzling that 5000 people actually follow him on there, some of which do so 'ironically' so they can post "Okay" on his photos, which they somehow think is really sticking it to Phil.
I can't come up with any other explanation than he saw everyone else doing it, so he decided to make an account and join in a "How do you do, fellow kids?" sort of way, without ever taking even a few minutes to research the basics of posting on the platform.

More than likely it was from Daniel Carver's appearances on Howard Stern.

Dropped into Dark Dave Mirrors, currently showcasing Shenmue 3. Ryo and another NPC are getting ready to kick in some doors; NPC gives him a "We do it on 3." Then during a count-down the QTE prompt appears. On reaction, which I'm willing to forgive once... Phil hits the button, Ryo rushes ahead and the NPC chides him about going in too soon and "We do it on 3." It takes him like 5 fucking times of being told "We do it on 3" for him to realize to not hit the button the moment it appears.

I can't help by think that sums up his entire YouTube/Twitch let's play experience. NPC or whoever try to give him a "This is how/when you do it" and he fucks it up several times and bitches about the game being stupid. And if he's that bad with a game, I can only imagine what he was like as a child or in the workplace.

Pigpiggo with the confirm, here we find Dark has renamed a slowpoke pokemon to Schlomo. Since the boundaries of his creativity demand he rename pokemon into something that means the exact same thing, it's clear he thinks Shlomo is a general insult regarding someone's reflexes or intelligence. Just another synonym for "stupid" when he tries to feel smart by calling people a buffoon for the millionth time

With all the internet discussing world war 3 I’m hoping for the reality where war truly destroys everything and dark still wakes up the next morning snorting like nothing happened and attempts to stream

I can see Phil getting pissy that he has no power because a nuclear emp blast took out WA.

dsp seems to think he was making $10k a month only between 2011-2012
The most money I ever made in a month? I think... I think the most I ever made was like $10,000

This is the same guy who says he rarely gets $100 in a day.

...if that "the most money I ever made in a month" question was all-time, he literally got $12,000 JUST from Emerald_seven's sub gifts. If it was during his Youtube time, then he's still lying, based on the fact that his current $120k-$130k allegedly represents a decline in income.

the same man who replaces the " /$100 " with the tips total because it discourages wheelchair symbols from contributing, god forbid he only make $200 a day from one of 10 sources of income

I just rewatched him. He is only talking about YouTube money without actually saying he is only talking about youtube money.

The guy asked him "what was the most money you made in one month." Nothing about YouTube in the question. Phil only discloses he made $10k one time 8 years ago and it all went down from there. He only makes a tenth of that now. Yes Phil, I believe you make $1000 a month. What a piece of work.

Edit after further research:
I guess the question was about YouTube revenue, but Phil didn't read the question as his fan had written it.

What Phil said:
"What was your highest paying month ever? Asks Wigglebottom"

What the question in chat said:
"What was your highest paying month during your glory days on YouTube"

this makes more sense

he's at around $800 a month for youtube

what an asshole though to re-word the question to fit his narrative

He does seem to think it's some kind of insult towards someones reaction speed and intelligence like it's some sort of onomatopoeia, but in this one instance here I have a hard time believing he meant anything other than 'greedy Jew', as for the PUBG instance the other day it was back to his usual onomatopoeic misinterpretation. So it's possible he may say it again as a substitute for 'Jew' when going on some rant. 4m10s

I've suspected that his whole "Duh Trolls got me kicked off Twitch Bounty Program, DOOD!" has been another lie that DSP is using to get pitybuxx.

I won't deny it is a possibility, but it doesn't seem like something he regularly uses as part of his grift. I'm not a Twitch partner or anything so I might be misunderstanding the system, but from how it was described it sounded like an open system where anyone could claim the bounty. Some bounties would have specific requirements, like X amount of viewers, how long you had to run the bounty for and what you're allowed to say being some examples, but one of the channels I used to watch pretty regularly hosted bounties and he typically didn't get higher than 200ish views. He never said the payout, which I think is part of the program, but he said it was enough to cover his bills. Some bounties are incredibly short too, like watching a trailer or an ad. I'd think if he wasn't banned, he'd be trying to earn some extra bucks using these.

Then again, I could honestly see Phil being too lazy to claim bounties, or too anchored to his schedule to risk changing anything to accommodate bounties, since it always sounded like there was minimal time to plan for them/smart streamers would try and work it in when they were at peak viewership to get the most benefits. Based on some of those quotes, it also sounds like Phil was too lazy to look into the system and only considered sponsored stuff that was directly offered to him, which I believe is slightly different from the bounty system. It certainly wouldn't be the first time Phil turned down an easy opportunity to make money simply because it involved the slightest bit of effort on his part.

In any event, the point was Phil doesn't appear to be some Twitch employee's pet because he isn't getting the same offers for sponsored/event stuff like other people are, including smaller streamers who are likely getting those offers because they're actually someone's pet. The best case scenario for Phil is he maybe has someone on staff who genuinely likes him, but is savvy enough to recognize Phil is too toxic to try and promote. And if that's the case, I doubt they'd be willing to put their neck on the line for Phil in general.

Basically, it isn't a case of Phil getting special treatment so much as it is Twitch just being incredibly lax/nonexistent with rules enforcement, especially for smaller channels, and Phil just happens to benefit from that.

That's the low end and only applies if he's making an average of $1 CPM. If it's higher, then he could get $1500-$2000. As @SoapQueen1 pointed out in the Savings and Loan thread, for Phil to have made $10,000 a month during 2012, his CPM would have to have been less than $1, which is ridiculous.

On the other hand, maybe that view-based contract wasn't so great compared to ad-based CPM rates? I doubt it, since Phil appears to be making nearly $10k a month pretty consistently, so for his income to have dropped, he had to have made more, even if it was "only" $150k.
