I guess we'll have to wait and see see whether he truly believes his own words or if it later turns out he's only condemns such behavior as long as he's the one being targeted. At least in the case of his fans, that's probably what's going to happen a lot of the time.It might come off as "that guy"-y, and kinda devil's advocacy, but the truth is, most people, normal and cow alike, are more than capable of endorsing a concept they think is good and coming to regret it later on. Certainly, it comes off as irony, but often the only way someone can learn that they fucked up is when it backfires on them.
He's damn right. Who wouldn't want Nyk as their sex educator?
At the very least, Contra used at least the James Charles situation(s) as an example of why cancel culture is bad (not just using her own experience), including digging into the reasonings behind why James was cancelled in the first place and explains WHY that's bad, I think she at least knows why it's bad, potentially or realistically. For sure, being targetted probably sparked her initial disdain (if she didn't have it before). However, considering the amount of time between Opulence and Canceling, it may very well be she was figuring out why it felt so bad to be cancelled and if there were other situations where people were cancelled unjustifiably.I guess we'll have to wait and see see whether he truly believes his own words or if it later turns out he's only condemns such behavior as long as he's the one being targeted. She's using buzzwords that we don't like because she's a leftytuber (which, for related reasons, pisses people off about Sargon when he's not a dumbass) but her overall point with the comparison between digging that deep and Kiwi Farms is mostly to showcase an intense hypocrisy of transactivists searching into a person's life (previous aliases and all) in order to find things to hate about them is no different than what we do. She makes that point because she knows well that the general consensus with the cancel crowd is that all anyone does here is dox trans people and stalk them to death.EDIT: Ironically, someone on REEEEera had a good take on one of my issues with the video, just not for the right reasons.
>She spends all this time discussing the issue, claiming she knows what really happened but then doesn't say what happened and instead says if you cared enough to look into it you're probably a nazi.
Even the other trannies know what's up. What is the world coming to?

That's not exactly what she said or meant. As @Pizza Time pointed out in their summary of the video:But then does a 180 on it saying that it doesn't matter James was cancelled because white cis men can't "feel" being cancelled like trannies and then asserts that anyone who is accused of being an alt-right white supremacist Nazi fascist gangstalker deserves to be cancelled. And again, I can't tell if it's exceptionalism from leftoid programming causing a massive cognitive dissonance that literally will not allow him to put the pieces together, or if he understands this point but refuses to address it or admit it to avoid getting more flak from other leftists.
Her point wasn't just that he was cis and white, it was that he was cis, white, successful and young, more than capable of rebounding from something like this. Meanwhile, for someone else, like a small time creator, a gay person, a trans person, or someone who isn't white, because they often have fewer support networks. Contra herself admits she has privilege that other trans creators might not have within the same video, because she is not a small time creator anymore, and because she is a part of multiple communities. If someone smaller than Contra was cancelled, they may have fewer mechanisms to rebound and may find themselves in a hopeless situation. Sure, it'll sting for cis white dudes with a lot of money, but money can buy new friends, you can still get asspats from your own demographics because there's simply more cis people in the real world and more white people in most places with internet (save Asian nations)At the end of talking about the James Charles drama, she talks about how James was fine after the canceling because he's a 20 year old millionaire head of a beauty company, but not everyone who gets canceled is so successful and popular and can just brush off cancel culture like that. Some people who get canceled are poor, small creators. Convenient segue to talking about her own cancellation.
While it felt a bit self-pitying with some of the examples, I did think she made a lot of good points in the section on dualism. Unfortunately the people who need to hear that aren't going to listen because "binary bad, enby good."I didn't really mind this video. I found some parts meandering, and there was a lot I didn't agree with, but I also did feel Contra made some good points here and there. I was frankly kind of (pleasantly) surprised by some of Contra's comments with regards to hurt feefees, etc; honestly it was kind of refreshing.

... wait a minute, apparently Nyk said that he was sexually abused by "a prominent figure in leftist poltics" in this new video:

Does anyone have a timestamp for the part where Nyk says this? @Pizza Time did you catch this?
I am already going through a list of prominent leftwing figures in my head that I know Nyk has met or hung out with in the past couple of years but I can't think of anyone who might have been the abuser. It could've been none or all of them.
So Nyk allegedly got raped and/or sexually abused, but then he went and made that Men video in his lingerie, seemingly soliciting more thirsty chasers. Not claiming he made it up - though he obviously could have #believethewomen - but we're dealing with a trans-LARPer here who isn't of a sound mind and is possibly clinging onto their #MeToo experience as evidence of being a true and honest woman - just like his transition guru Julia Serano did in Whipping Girl. Hence why he's teasing his audience with a semi-disclosure while refusing to actually name his abuser or actually do anything about it. ("Teehee, I got #MeToo-ed by one of you but I'm just not gonna tell you who did it, because I don't trust y'all anymore, nah-nah!")
I know Nyk used to attend Chelsea Manning's speaking events when Manning was running for Senate in Maryland... so perhaps it was another trans activist in Baltimore? Nyk knows exactly who his abuser is, so it wasn't some Tinder hook up that ended in date rape. I think the most likely person to fit this profile is another lefty Youtuber, but who could it be?
So Nyk is just two years into his trans-LARP, two years of pretending to be a woman and he's already been #MeTooed by another lefty... but he still keeps on bitching about TERFs? The spineless coward won't make a single video about his alleged rapist and/sexual abuser (which only makes this person is going to rape and/or abuse other people), but TERFs are his biggest problem, clearly. Not actually getting raped/sexually abused. Just TERFs. Who never laid a finger on him and only disagreed with him politically and ideologically. Nyk will let his thirsty chasers on the left to get away with literally anything, rape and/or sexual abuse even, but will happily use feminists and lesbians who won't go along with his LARP as his whipping girls.
And if keeping his mouth shut about his sexual abuser will result in other trannies and cis women getting raped after him by the same abser, so be it. That's how much this true and honest woman cares about the safety of other women to allow his abuser to walk the streets freely.
I thought the idea behind #MeToo is that it was supposed to be about sexual abuse that wasn't been equals (like domestic abuse or just a drunken hook up) but sexual abuse in professional settings where there was some kind of overt power imbalance. Like a bossman raping his secretary and threatening to fire her for not sucking his dick, or an older professor molesting his younger students or something like that. Where is the power imbalance with someone like Nyk? Nyk doesn't have an employer or a manager/minder, so who has the upper hand here? Nyk clearly does, because Nyk is a very wealthy famous victim. If a famous Youtube millionaire can't easily expose and hold accountable his sexual abuser (who is "a prominent lefty figure") then who the hell can?

He did mention being sexual assaulted here (1h 26mins):

I don't recall it coming up again or anything to do with who it was
