If you're wondering where I found this, this twitter user https://twitter.com/SailorMarsSays has been digging through old anti Vic tweets and she quote retweets them all. I guess she's somehow trying to proove that Vic always had a shitty rep, but all that this proves is that a bunch of shitty spergs always had a problem with Vic for shitty reasons. Almost all of those tweets are just petty insults. The tweet with the guy giving Vic the middle finger from afar was also found by this sped and retweeted as "proof".

I was trying to say that. It isn't a trial. Evidence wasn't weighed and considered. The TCPA prevents a trial from happening.

I think my favorite part of all this is, Toye & Co. Have inadvertently taken Vic's fame, and transformed it into preeminence. Prior to all this, I (and I'm assuming many others) knew who Vic was, but never really paid him much mind. He was just another VA to me. But now, I'm actively seeking out roles he has portrayed, and purposefully consuming media he has been a part of. Partially out of spite perhaps, but increasingly because I'm realizing just how talented he actually is.

Despite the high level of shitposting, I've found /a/ is pretty good with posting breaking news on anime and manga related content quickly, just make sure to lurk for a good time until you pick up the posting etiquette. It works better if you browse often however due to how quickly threads can die, but usually big news will have multiple threads. For reviews on shows, it might be a little trickier but you can usually search the archives for specific shows and get general opinions from those that watched it. You'll also find a lot of good stuff to watch whenever there's a very thinly veiled recommendation thread that evades deletion and the discussion that takes place in them. If sci-fi is more your interest and you don't mind watching older shows there's also the much slower /m/ board, better for news and reviews focused on the more mecha variety.

If 4chan and its boards are too spooky for you, as much as I dislike reddit as a whole, the r/anime subreddit is decent for skimming headlines. Just don't put much stock in their tastes in anime when it comes to finding good stuff to watch. There also seems to be an anime/manga thread on the farms but I have no idea of its contents and if any actual discussion of anime takes place.

All the TCPA victory has done is say that the Defamatory statements are protected under Free Speech; that's it.

For the majority of KV they have no use for proof in the first place since many of their opinions are based on "gut-feelings" or "believe all victims" and any evidence wouldn't change that. They'd fall back on good old "Well he just comes off as a creep, where there's smoke there's fire you know!" and keep shouting the same tired accusations. These people actively run away from reality.

I at least hope for evidence just to see what they can possibly scrap together at this point.

If I were in Chupp's position, as much as I hate the extra work and dealing with what looks like petty Internet drama, I'd put something together in a way to fuck Wick Phillips even harder. Sitting there for multiple extended court sessions that didn't need to be as long as they have been, having to listen to the dying breaths of an idiot who I actually believed to be a real expert on this shit try to okie-doke me, watch as said idiot keeps trying to derail my hearings with his online vendettas, and then the partner of the firm raises his voice to me because I wasn't going to sign off on his boy's incredibly padded bill would drive me to find any and every way to stick it to them.
