yeah i guess when you fucking decide to backstab your friend and cost him his job and possibly live (people have fucking killed themselves over such accusation), dont be fucking surprised when everyone else take a deep look at their own relationship with you and decide its not fucking worth associating with you.

Ironically the only men theyll find themselves surrounded by at this point will be male feminist...and you know what those tend to actually be. Of course it probably wont be a dramatic public thing(cant prove us incels right after all), but more like having other priorities or even finding themselves being alone with them less and less intentionally.

If I were KickVic, and I secretly hated Shane (as I'm sure most of them do), I'd wait until a week before his Consent-con and then I'd drop receipts on all the stupid, slimy, and underhanded things he's said and done in private communications. I'd frame it as "I'm reluctantly doing this to show the world what Shane is really like, for the good of the community. He should take a couple years off to grow as a person, then I'm sure he can come back. But until he does that, no one should go to his con or support him in any way."

I think Monica and Jamie could always go running to Sabat who had Funi Money to throw around til the conventions agree to invite them.

Convention runners know what they are selling though. They are selling escapism. You take a few days off of work, figure out your transportation and get a hotel room.

Right now you're going to get slapped with Twitter Drama at whatever convention you go to. You can do that at home. Why travel if you get the same stuff?

I hope no one tries to cancel Shane. Just let him fail. Damaging his professional reputation with a failed convention would be more solid than cancelling him. Cancelling him just gives an excuse for his failure.

On a serious note, I have to wonder which industry Jinnie's referring to. I know that, in context, she's talking about the convention industry, but I imagine that a similar sentiment is probably shared by several voice actors.

There is probably a lot of over lap. Jinnie claims Vic would come crying to her whenever somebody did something he didn't like. So I imagine that Jinnie has some stories and know where a few skeletons are buried.
